  • Thought that was perfectly fine by elimay tbh, slightly shorter race, spring ground round Cheltenham I would take elimay all day long. Its interesting to note that Mount ida was napped by Ruby today so make of that what you will

    • Thanks PP. just thinking if there’ll be a turn around in the weights compared to recent mares chases.

      • If Elimay couldn’t win it last year I can’t see it winning this year looking worse than last season.

Concertista to lose and one of the firsts in multiples

For 5 Year olds and upwards, Mares only
Two miles and four and a half furlongs

          Weights: 11st 2lb each
          Penalties, after Sept 30th, 2019 (assume 2020 now), a winner of a Grade 2 steeple chase, 3lb
          Of a Grade 1 steeple chase, 5lb.
If its the same this year for penalties (end of Sept onwards) the following would have penalties at the top of the market currently:

          Concertista - 3lb
Riviere - 3lb (been receiving weight all year and then has to give it at the fest)

PTKO would get 5lbs also for her Queen Mother win

Sticking with Gin On Lime. Can see several in with a shout at the top of the hill
Fine choice of drink to have to celebrate Concertista winning handy.

Is it any Grade 1's or Grade 2's from 30th September that season? or just Grade 2's since that September?

                • Any Grade 1 (5lbs) or Grade 2 (3lbs) steeple chase winners after Sept 30th 2020 will be assessed a penalty for the 2022 Mares Chase

As an Elimay fan, it is hard not to fancy Mount Ida whilst still 7/1 (a similar price to Elimay)

They're form ties in closely, she's just beaten her despite getting a big bump and has a festival winning piece of form over further.

I can't rule her out at all, I don't really expect to get through tonight without backing her - as any race pre Kim Muir have to be taken with a lil pinch of salt. The loss to Elimay at Punchestown got reveresed today....

If you like one, you can't really rule out t'other?

                      Hopefully Quevega is right!

                      • Bit of a boost for Concertista there, easy win for Jeremys Flame

Bigger boost for Ferny Hollow I reckon.
                          Being it's the novice division.

Bit is definitely the word as Jeremy's Flame is quite set on a mid 130's mark.
Seems to be consistently around this level. 135.

Biggest boost is to Riviere D'Etel, directly, and Ferny indirectly.

RD's and Ferny's form looks really good.
