We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.
I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I mean everyone bar the goose knows he'd be better further but as Willie said, his hands are tied.
I was just talking to a mate earlier and said I had a sneaking suspicion that WDW and one of Ginto/HG will be given a certain ride today to try and convince the owners of the respective horses to target a particular race using the runs today to justify those thoughts. I could just be naive but I'm hoping Ginto wins showing a nice Ballymoresque bit of pace to put it to bed and give Willie and Gordon some thoughts towards the AB for the other two.
Not sure where everyone's confidence in him needing three miles comes from.
He's had one race when he made a mistake and got hampered and stayed on.
One hurdle race in his life, and people know his best trip is 3 miles is just plain nonsense guesswork.
His breeding suggests he's not going to be good enough to be honest.
But nothing really suggests he needs 3 miles.
His half brother was at his best over the mid trip on good ground, although lower class for sure and only tried once over 3 miles.

I agree. Not sure why people think he needs further. Showed good pace to get himself back in the race and win cosily and showed more pace in his Bumper win over Ginto.

2m4 seems perfect to me.
He might prove to be best over further.
But to be convinced of that after one run is just daft.

Well I can’t speak for others, but watching him I just got the impression he would be suited by 3m and it would give him more chance of winning at the festival . Just looks to me a real stayer.

market will hopefully tell us how they rate gintos chances vs HG before the off. Owner doesn’t strike as one that would need any convincing though, think they seem happy to defer to Gordon’s better judgement, or at least have never voiced any strong opinions of their own as far as I remember.
Think Ginto could stand a fair chance of throwing his hat in the ring for this, everybody seems to see him as a 3 miler but walk in the park wouldn’t be renowned for producing stayers really; though there’s plenty of stamina on the dams side.

His sire has had fertility issues and he is related to that pig Hardline

I think the fact that wanting to split up the two Moran horses is being discussed is enough to tell me, I reckon GE would send both to the Bartlett if he felt that was the race that would suit them both.

Yep, I've had free bets on him every time 3x now,
Cos in my heart I don't think he's good enough, but the race target seems set.
Hopefully he's decent.
Think Ginto might best him today though.

Fair point there, surprised they would insist on splitting them myself, not had a festival winner yet for all the money they’ve spent, surely you’re better to go in double barrelled if the alternative is shoe-horning a horse into a race it won’t be optimally suited by.
Ballymore doesn’t look too strong at this point and today’s a good trial, don’t like the Mullins horse but weighing up a bet on Ginto for it as I do think he’ll win today

I fancy Ginto today but I do think I'm letting my antepost position sway my judgement a bit. The winner will no doubt consider the Ballymore with there being so much uncertainty with regards to race targets and it not looking the strongest renewal (at this time).
