APT was soundly beaten on seasonal debut.
Then they had a qmcc no hoper bang there behind them in his next. I assume people think CPS is a world beater so therefore APT produced a great win???

In fact a lot of the graded races this year have had an ordinary horse knocking about too near the finish

APT has to be doubtful to line up in this, unless I've missed something.

The British challenge is strong imo. Frodon, Riders onthe Storm and (possibly) Cyrname. Not sure this race is a penalty kick for the Irish.

APT pretty nailed on to run in this I believe.

Min and footpad for me.
And imo darasso who ran yesterday is a live outsider over his correct trip and discipline.

I do like APT and CPS and think they will be big players in their respective races which I believe will be Ryanair and QMCC respectively. Like most horses you have to allow them some rope on their early season performances, APT going right handed on first run and a lot of Willies have improved massively for their first run so will hoping for big improvement from CPS at the Dublin racing festival. Come March on decent racing ground hope to see APT and Min jumping the last together and CPS fighting off Altior and Defi du Seuil on the run in

I think that's massively optimistic myself for horses that are so short but have achieved very little.

Youd atleast want to see either beat a good one beforehand to be the price they are.
In uds, footpad or min. Not just the likes of ordinary world.

It's a quirk of the racing calendar that there isn't a 2M4F Graded left handed race for APT to run in from the start of the season until the Festival.

IMO we wont see the best of A Plus Tard until the Ryanair because he is running over 2M until then.

The fact he won a Grade 1 on his second run of the season over a distance half a mile short of the Ryanair trip tells me all I need to know about his Ryanair chances.

I don't see the need to be concerned with who he beat or lost to over a 2M trip, or running right handed.

The dublin chase might be a massive game changer, but it will depend on who runs.
Willie may have to run more than one, and maybe more than two, unless he can find somewhere else for them and the UK looks off the radar for now. The Red Mills chase looks the other obvious option (2m 4f grade 2)

So he has Min, CPS, Cilaos, DDG & Cadmium who all look like they will want another run before March.

If Henry runs A Plus Tard in Dublin over 2 miles again (and he wins again)
Whats gonna happen then ???

Willie will have no grade 1 winning 2 miler (this season) going into the Champion. And A Plus Tard will have won them both. With the option to run on the same course as last year at cheltenham.

Food for thought.
