A Piss Poor piece of fucking handicapping.
    Love it, Q.

I’m really coming around to the idea that, if he gets there fit and healthy, Altior beats DDS in March.

The pace of any race is crucial and can lead to some form being misleading.
A strongly run Queen Mother would give Altior a better chance for sure.
But DDS is classy enough to go a stronger pace too, it's just his finishing kick won't be as eyecatching (or strong)
Mullins holds the key, and will have the ammunition to dictate the pace.

      • My mind was wandering on the way into work and I'm now thinking Chacun Pour Soi is still so intriguing.

It's not hard to buy into the improvement angle as he's note had a run and then if you selectively pull out his run against Defi Du Seuil it all clicks into place.

Now bare in mind, I'm not a moron and I know that end of season form could be unreliable and that he may well be worse than A Plus Tard ....

But if you're looking to take on Defi, could with the flattering rating here's had, its not THAT hard to pick some holes.

I don't think it's a penalty kick for DDS, which I probably did as he crossed the line!

        • I prefer it when the Championship races aren’t penalty kicks, it makes them way more interesting from a betting angle, and can lead to some great battles.

Definitely intriguing. Willie's are needing their first run and see no reason why CPS would be any different. Traveled strongly into the race and just got tired, I'm sure he'll come on for the run & PM seems confident.

If I weren't already on I'd definitely be waiting till after the DRF to get involved though. If CPS bombs out you have saved your money, if he pisses up I can't see him going much shorter than 2/1. With DDS & Altior in the mix they will command a huge amount of support and as the relative unknown of the 3 I can see 3/1 or 4/1 being available on the day, regardless of how strong he is at DRF.

            • 15/2 for the DRF/Cheltenham double for CPS of any appeal?

I'm wanting to put a big enough bet on CPS NRNB at 4-1, but the race in Dublin concerns me.
I don't think I can wait till after, but I may wait till nearer the time.
If he really bombs then he might not go for the champion anyway.

I am ok with the Punchestown form myself, Defi looks like he takes his racing well enough and it's far too easy to call Punchestown form (end of season stuff and therefore unreliable). It simply cannot always be the case. It's guesswork most of the time. It's more something to be wary of than to hold your hat on.

                  • CPS would still hold every chance as this moment in time, for me.

A defeat, on seasonal debut, against the potential Ryanair favourite (with race fitness on his side), would not have me running away.

I've made my thoughts on DDS plenty clear enough already so won't bore on about him.

Have to think if he doesn't win nicely enough, he won't be going anywhere near the CC anyway.

If he gets beat then straight to Ryanair.Hoping he just pips A Plus Tard as I'm desperate for APT to go Ryanair.

Defi didn’t run at Aintree so had 51 days break before Chacun beat him at Punchestown.

Yep and as a juvenile he ran 7 times with no issues

                            • Have to admit, it's been rather amusing for sometime how Defi has been given the excuse of a hard season for his 2nd behind CPS, but now CPS gets beat on seasonal reappearance and there's been so many popping up and sayng he obviously aint all that.

Skelton saying same thing but in a long winded manner.
But the small field grade ones look set to continue whilst ever we have handicapping like this.
                                Fucking numpty.
