We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

But the 167 (and the 169) mark is totally lacking in supporting evidence. If the true mark was actually, say, 163 then there is rather more to do.

In the context of suicide bombers I'd say there definitely can be issues with faith, unless they are in fact now surrounded by 72 virgins.
Or in the context of the 13 year old catholic, forced to give birth to a child, that was the product of rape.
And not forgetting the four year old child dying of cancer as his parents refuse professional medical treatment in favor of prayer and an elderly gentleman wearing a frock touching his head.
      I could go on.

The 167 isn't that farfetched is it?

169 given as a markup on a recent formboosts.

Lets hope she runs well considering and they let her have a pop in the bartlett or something with a bit of a trip.

              • Is there not just way too much stock being given to ratings in general. I've just seen Cyrname is 3lbs lower than Un De Sceaux.

They're always 'after the fact' too. We know that the Gold Cup will be a peak rating before whatever wins, wins ... but that assumes the Gold Cup is always the best race every year.

                May not be true.

I've not got an arguement about Presenting Certainty not having the form in the book yet really. I don't think you can knock it but he hasn't proven it yet.

                I have the faith though

If Might Bite was 161 then Percy should not have been 167.

                    Exactly this!

The one thing I remember of Presenting Percy, and I know it's only one trainers thoughts, but Elliott when asked if he could have one horse from any other trainer which would it be, and it was Presenting Percy, not Altior, not Douvan, no, PP, they really do love him in Ireland, and to a degree, over in the UK now too.

Gordon Elliott quote pre 2018 festival "Presenting Percy is the best staying novice chaser in Ireland BY A COUNTRY MILE and will win the RSA Chase. He will win the Gold Cup next year!! I will run Dounikos in the race." - Fair to say he was half right so far!

Haven't read the whole thread, but is your view then the RSA as a whole has been overrated?

Not as dogmatic as that, just that it may be unreliable form because of the ground.

I don't do ratings but someone who does reckoned that it was a decent race but not as good as Might Bite. The logical (as distinct from faithful) extension of that is that either Percy was overrated or Might Bite was underrated.

                            Could well be Kev.
The whole race just has the makings of a boilover and create form lines that only confuse, I’m convinced this race will have no bearing on the Gold Cup itself unless Jonjo has found the secret to MRs wellbeing and jumping...

I think he got sore legs ?? . Terrefort , not Nicky henderson

                              • I'm adding Frodon e/w at 33/1 NRNB for the Gold Cup.

I don't expect him to win today, I expect him not to stay and to end up beaten in the Ryanair....

BUT, 33/1 NRNB a shot to nothing in case I am completely wrong?

If Frodon out stays Elegant Escape (Welsh National winner) and Terrefort (3m G1 novice chaser) as well as Valtor (National horse?) and Minella Rocco who has won a 4 miler AND placed in a Gold Cup.... then Frodon is no 33/1 shot.

He's in at favourite today, and I have made cases for Elegant Escape and Terrefort (who are 2nd and 3rd in the betting), so I am almost obliged to, because the market thinks they're better?!

                                Nothing to lose though
