Head gear the key for auvergnat. look at his run last time out. Travelled beautifully and hosed up in a very competative field. He'd been getting too far back in this previously, but they seem to have found the key to him now so will be interesting to see How he goes. Josies had a poor prep last year coming into this after along lay off. You can't discount him around the banks. As we've see today with ballycasey. Experiance in these races is key. They made more use of him today with the blinkers on.
And we all know he stays all day round there.
After josies orders win today
Bolger said:- “You probably know where we are heading! He stays well and sees it out, and we’ll try and keep him in one piece now for March.
“They weren’t bad horses in it this year, it was a good test and the timing is just right.
“His ears were pricked and that’s why those things (blinkers) are on him. I’m chuffed with that, and it’s poignant that it was in the race for my old boss (P P Hogan).
