I do think unfortunately the market is speaking heavily to suggest Samcro is staying over hurdles...

I like the idea of Apple''s Jade going for the stayers, I'm mulling over that idea in my head before I make a case.

And feel free to start a thread about the football index in the other part of the forum. I'd be interested to read about it
Not a huge market by any stretch but a bit of money for her for the Mares' on the exchanges. £278 matched @ 6/1, seems a ludicrous price tbh!

Cheers Kev. Though the market is speaking that way I think that's largely based on Elliott stating that he wants him in the champion hurdle. You can see why he would want a live chance in that, but i'm certain there is absolutely no decision made as yet. You would think that O'Leary will ultimately have the final say and he has always seen him as a chaser. I can't see them forgoing his chasing career which is effectively what they're doing if he stays over hurdles this year - he'd likely be 9 by the time he takes in a gold cup if he switches to fences next season and I just don't see his career as a crack 2 mile hurdler. Time will tell but thought it worth the risk he goes the arkle, i'll be in a great position with my book if so and not a massive amount lost if not.

Will put something up about the football index over the next couple of weeks... it's a flegdling platform but gaining quite a bit of traction now, massive potential

          • Hard to say, HF. You'd say he wouldn't be a thorough stayer but Willie wouldn't usually differ much in his preparation for Supreme or Ballymore.

                      • Donn McClean on the Matchbook Podcast this week is very keen on Delta Work this season. Gave him as his progressive horse for the season. Tom Stanley and Rory Delarghy also gave their horses to follow in the following categories.

Well worth a listen - the best national hunt preview i've heard so far this season for sure.

Same race Presenting Percy started his novice chase campaign off in and winning of course.

Be interesting to see which of the Gigginstown runners currently entered take their chance.

Call it Magic is a strange pick for a dark horse, considering he ran in an Irish national last season.

                            I'll give it a listen.

So is Vinndication as a class horse... he'd have been allowed as 'progressive' surely.

I'll give it a listen, is it a good one. I like Donn and Rory and Tom Stanley to be fair (have they binned Emmet Kennedy)?
