Topped up Josses Hill but have gone right off Champagne Fever since that treble in March.

Bold that Old Vic, do you not think Sprinter will turn up for the QM and all talk is for Simonsig to go over 2m this season so could end up in Ryanair himself

Think they have been talking Peterborough Chase then King George for Simonsig ( think they are a bit close but what do I know). It's rally a bet on Sprinter not coming back - wouldn't be right to lay him. I know Marcus Armitage said he looked good in his column but talk of racecourse gallops etc makes me think he has a long way to go. Just guessing though !

Is Vautour confirmed for fences ?

Yeah I see your point about Sprinter but god willing they have him back to his best
As for Vautour Rich Ricci has said the Arkle is his main target this season, so fingers crossed

I do hope he comes back Paz.

Vautour is a fine animal too. Should be a interesting Arkle !

                          Hi all,

I'm new to the site. Hope you don't mind if I post my early thoughts for the festival on here.

I've took an early stance on a few this season. Faugheen (CH), Vautour (Arkle), Josses Hill (Arkle) and Briar Hill (Stayers) are my main bets so far. I really can't see Faugheen getting beat if he gets there in one piece.

Briar Hill is an interesting one. He fractured his cheekbone/eye socket in the fall during Albert Bartlett last year. I presume there are no lasting physical effects from that injury ? Anyone got recent quotes about him ?
