Flogas Novice Chase Stats ( previously Dr PJ Moriarty)

The Grade 1 Flogas Novice Chase ( the old Dr PJ Moriarty Chase)  run at Leopardstown over 2m 5f has Grade 1 status and has been an important Irish trial for the RSA Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. Bostons Angel and Cooldine doubled up in both races within the last decade. Boston Bob might have joined them but for a last fence fall in the  2013 RSA.

It is also a race worth looking beyond the winner in. Forpadydeplaster won the Arkle after finishing runner up here. Newmill and Big Zeb went on to win Champion Chases after competing here. Lord Windemere finished third here in 2013 before winning the RSA Chase and following up in the 2014 Cheltenham Gold Cup.
