this week's entries

Sefton has been their main target with staying hurdlers but they've had runners in the AB and even the winner.

….might be a matter of which track suits, Russell spoke about a strong galloper with huge stride the others struggled to match.

He's a nice horse. If they're going to Haydock, I'd say they'll miss Cheltenham. That Feb meeting the majority of the time is on horrendous ground and the Cheltenham festival can come round a bit too quickly, as Hillcrest found out.

Lucinda has already said that they are likely to miss Cheltenham hasn't she ? See him as one for the future .

Backed Hillcrest on his last 2 runs, still got a soft spot for him :applouse:

Blood Destiny declared in the Horse and Jockey with Paul on top. Could he be taking the Allaho route to the Ryanair?

I'm genuinely surprised this got such a negative reaction - I've had a play at 40s NRNB with 365 so thanks for highlighting.

The Spillanes Tower form is there for all to see, but he also beat Heart wood 9 lengths in his beginners chase last year. Heart wood was probably being handicapped for the DRF but it's still really solid form. He was coughing post-race when pulling up as favourite for the handicap at Puncestown so obvious excuses there.

The worry would be that his best performance was over 2m last year, but it was on heavy ground and with NRNB, if they decide they want to go that route, it's money back. He won't beat Fact To File if FTF goes there, but could easily place and he'll be maximum half the price if he wins tomorrow. If he doesn't win tomorrow he probably won't go :encouragement:

Keep the faith Chief, remember Yorkhill ?
66s ?

Haha, absolutely! Was the exact thing I was thinking ..... about 2 years to wait probably :applouse:

Leader In The Park goes again today and he'll need to be winning well if he's going to make it into the new Turners novices handicap at the festival. He and Asta La Pasta were two I mentioned from the Kempton race that used to be a good pointer towards the festival novices handicap when it was in its former guise.

Either his horses have been given their jabs or there is potentially a problem in the yard. His horses have been running terribly and I’m very surprised nothing has been mentioned. 5% strike rate in last 14 days and horses being pushed along after just a few furlongs. Let’s see how this fella gets on today as he really should win or go very close.

Yeah he's not on a good run at the moment but that can sometimes be skewed by the quality of horse he's been running during the period. If he doesn't win today then he may struggle to climb the weights enough to get in the Turners, albeit we won't know what the likely lowest OR will be under the new conditions.

Minella Sixo entered at Hungtingdon on Wednesday off a mark of 137.

Nice run at Cheltenham behind Potters Charm - Gordons boy for the Pipe?

I think he's definitely one of them.
Potters rated 146 now, so he looks well enough treated to me.
Will look even better if Potters runs well on the Wednesday.

Diva Luna Festival prep Sandown Friday. Also entered same day at Doncaster along with Palladium as a precaution

You'd want him to be fishing for a mark rather than intending to run in a Pertemps qualify if you've backed him for the Pipe. Hopefully not declared tomorrow.

I don't really get the point of entering him again in the Pertemps Qualifier though. He already had his mark from the last time he was entered (Warwick I think) before it was called off. The same three entered again, Minella, Staffordshire Knot & Harsh.

Unless he's just telling everyone 'these are my handicap good things' :highly_amused: or they are all intended runners in the race.

….but didn’t they ‘get a mark’ last time he was declared and the meeting was lost to the weather?

Edit; just seen CoD response above :eek-new:

:biggrin-new: fair play, missed that. I'd be concerned he'd be looking to qualify and line up in the Pertemps final then. Hard to see as a positive for an MP bet.

Just held on in the end which, although still a win, won't help with getting his mark up substantially. I'd say they may have to run again if the Turners handicap is going to be the target.

ComplyOrDie was correct with Anzadam and Dancing City targets, both entered at Naas.

Also plenty of maidens entered at Fairyhouse Kawboomga, Kocktail Divin, William Munny.
