this week's entries

Agree, he's been in desperate form. Maybe he's had his bad spell and his luck will change..He said she was as good as any Mare he's had . If she's as good as Love Envoi then she just wins doesn't she ?!

Oh I think she’s good. Looked like a wooly mammoth before her season debut, did more wrong than Mundi (think this needs to be the universal benchmark from now on) and still found a way to win. I hope she’s at least in good enough shape to herself justice. We shall see.

I thought it was quite interesting that he had Gidleigh park entered up for Exeter today, seemed pretty sure he was running him there when I read an article. Also sounded pretty keen to take it slowly with him.

Next thing you know he's entered him up in the lightning novices chase over 2miles.
obviously I'm hoping that's a sign he's been showing the right signs at home.
All pocket talk speculation of course :emmersed:

Interesting betting as they have Caldwell Potter fav and L’Eau du Sud 2nd fav! If the latter runs it’s a steal in my
opinion.

Apparently they are owned by the same owners - they’ve said L’Eau likely to wait to the Kingmaker at Warwick, while CP may run this weekend. CP was 5/2 first show.

That’ll be a showdown with Sir Gino then if LDS waits for Warwick.

They’ll all avoid each other before Cheltenham. Caldwell Potter on Friday, L’Eau de Sud Kingmaker, and Sir Gino Game Spirit. There’s zero incentive for trainers to give them a hard race and shatter dreams before March.

The 2m novice chase scene needs a cull, or some of these (one of the Kingmaker/Game Spirit) turned into a handicap. And I hate handicaps - but it will force the clashes we all need to see.

Game Spirit is an open race though. No need for Windsor to have a 2m graded novice chase though and the Kingmaker is a better Cheltenham trial than the Lightning.

No need for windsor whatsoever.
Should be closing courses not letting new ones take races off other tracks.

Fair point I’d forgotten it was an open race. But with the only other credible rival in the UK in his own stable, I doubt it matters!

Sir Gino could be on a collision course with Kalif De Berlais in the Game Spirit. Nicholls horse has been given a Champion Chase entry which says plenty. Once upon a time PN used to dominate the 2m Chase scene. Perhaps KDB could be the horse to get him back on that map ?

He was very sweet on KDB in his horses in training book for 24/25.

Indiana Dream entered at Windsor. Obviously made of glass but looked pretty special the one time he made the course as a novice hurdler and chaser for Willie. Not went for Cheltenham like but nice to see him back. Despite being moved to Jonjo I see... :grief:

Not impossible he goes there

Think same owners have Caldwell Potter & Leau Du Sud

Derryhassen Paddy goes for the under the radar novice hurdle list at Windsor tomorrow over 3m. His last engagement was cancelled but this time it looks like the weather can't scupper things. This is the trip I'd had in mind for him at the start of the season but it's a tough race and he's currently the outsider of the five that go to post. Hopefully he'll prove better than that and can be in the shakeup.

I may be eating my words at 12:47pm tomorrow, but can't understand why Honky Tonk is fav!

Think your lad is a little overpriced, personally.

Yeah I had the same thought, but money for Skelton runners can often be a good indicator.

Karoline Banbou entered again at Down Royal Tuesday, hopefully declared there after missing out at Cork tomorrow for whatever reason.
