Exactly the same situation re Sir Gino I'd say but this time you have Constitution Hill, Anzadam and Lulamba.

How well handicapped is Alphonse le Grande for the 4:00 race Friday at Cheltenham ?
Running off a mark of 98, fit from the flat, with a flat mark of 93, and reasonable form.
Tony Martin with a bottom weight in a Cheltenham autumn meet ??
Not jocked up yet and Martin has the third fav also with sean bowen on it.
assume they need a lightweight
11-2 Bet365 seems well worth taking a chance, but something don't feel quite right.
I've bet anyway though, obviously.

edit - looks like young Daniel King is coming over

Healthy enough looking card on Friday at Cheltenham as it stands.:)
Some of the other cards this season have been worrying, even considering the dry ground.
The new beginners chase's they announced have been an embarrassment so far and a complete waste of everyone's time and money.

Yellow weather warning for heavy rain (up to 50mm) on Friday. The stick was 6.3 yesterday (cf 5.9 for proper good going last meeting) and their take on the weather is:
Weather:
5mm on Monday and 5mm Tuesday evening. 6mm so far on Wednesday
morning (@06:30) with further rain forecast until early
afternoon. Thursday forecast to be dry during the day then a
heavy band of rain moves in overnight into Friday and continues
through the day (20mm+).

Yep. Good to Soft currently but expect them to have genuine Soft ground after the next batch of rain hits. Probably dry out a bit for Sunday though.

yep, i said as it stands as the forecast for Friday looks horrendous in some forecasts, and they may be lucky for it not to go heavy

If it does go heavy can see Henderson pulling Jonbon out
There’s too short a gap to the Tingle Creek and there is credible opposition in the shloer to make the decision easier

But he needs the race. He'll run . The ground won't be an issue. Don't believe it'll go Heavy. It's Good to Soft with Good down the shoot after a deluge of rain the last few days. Dry tomorrow which will allow it to drain back again. Remember, we aren't in the depths of winter yet. Water levels are very low following the longest dry spell on record.

Anyone know if upping the ante is back this year?
I know in past years its usually started airing by now but haven't heard anything for this season
