The Punchestown Champion Chase in 2014 is being sponsored by Boylesports. The race is a Grade 1 run over two miles. It is the feature on the opening day of the 2013 Punchestown Festival.
The race has a rich roll of honour with Sprinter Sacre,Sizing Europe, Master Minded, and Moscow Flyer winners since 2004.

The winner is most likely to come from the 8-10 age bracket but since these also cover most of the field that might not be useful in narrowing the field. Sizing Europe was the first 11 year old plus winner since Eddie Wee in 1987 in 2014
