Weekend Racing

Going to back the carefully selected/lord schnitzel forecast today. All of the others have questions to answer. Lord schnitzel is a nice price to finish in behind

Southwell 3.25 Jungle Secret

Ran well on only visit to Southwell when 3rd last season. Good comeback run after a break last time when only weakening at the end after making good headway. Stable in fine form recently. Should have a good each way chance of this low mark.
 
Punchestown 3.15 My Club Colours

Got going to late on handicap debut at Fairyhouse over 2m when a running on 8th. Today over 2m 4 f with the very good Philipp Enright booked and of 1lb lower handicap mark could be in the mix. Money coming down on this one.

- stable in form
- has won fresh in the past
- lurks on a dangerous handicap mark
- wind surgery could have a good effect on this one

Punchestown 3.45 Nero Rock

Good 3rd last time after taking time to make an impact in this game. Wouldn't be surprised if going 2 places better today for shrewed connections.
 
Lucky last with Fly True at Southwell. Likes it around Southwell and on a dangerous handicap mark now. Yard often does well in these kind of races.

I can’t bring myself to back him again, what I find irritating with him is that they use the same tactics every race and he is left with too much to do before running on and closing too late. With Fraser Island bombing I’d imagine the owners had a pretty shit day yesterday
 
Had 6pt win 7/2 Darasso for tomorrow.
2pt win Alyson Monterg 9-1
2pt double magic of light 11/4 & defi
2pt double Flyng angel 16-1 & defi
2pt double Edwardstone & Defi

obviously fancy defi to win, and if the doubles lose I'll back him single,
not happy bout race time though as I'm going to pictures to see JoJo Rabbit for the 3-30 showing.


not sure why I've three in this race when I like the favourite, but also added Kayf adventure 1ptew 22-1

backed it last time and looked like it would win, think 7-2 is big enough, but race looks tricky.

You not worried about un de sceaux getting his ground Q? I thought a better jump at the last in the tingle creek and he’d have won
 
Having a dabble on Red Avenger in the 6.30 at Dundalk tonight. Think he’s a good EW poke with Paddy’s 4 places

Not really (maybe a little bit).
I love both horses.

But if Defi can't beat a 12 year old on heavy when I believe Defi is best over further then Defi isn't as good as I thought he was.
Seen people say that UDS can run the same speed on heavy as he can on good, which is bullshit.
I just cannot see him running away from Defi, and a better timed ride from Barry and he should win cosily. The last day flattered the others I reckon.
Defi looks like he's a bit of a lad when he hits the front.
More and more evidence to suggest that he's a one kick merchant.

Barring a race changing bad jump or a ropey jump at the finish I'm not too concerned.
 
Il be taking Goshen on with Homer big time. Terrible jumper and 2/9, no thanks

If I were in the defi camp, I wouldn’t be too concerned if un de sceaux gave him a hell of a race. He’s a remarkable horse to still be competitive in these grade 1s. I also think if defi can win on heavy over 2m tomorrow then the Ryanair could be the race for him. I’ll be backing un de sceaux at the prices though. Think there’s not much between them.

Anyone any strong views on Windsor avenue tomorrow?
 
Un De Sceaux was 4/1 last time he went up against Defi Du Seuil.

Prices are too close now for either to be a good bet for me.

Things will be more in UDS's favour, but DDS on the improve and there wasn't loads between them anyway.
