Ultima Handicap Chase 2019

It’s been winning well this year 20/1 too big imo

Irish have a terrible winning record in this

There is no logic behind that trend though?

I'd consider it about as important as the Mares Novice Hurdle winner beginning with L

8/1 looks short, has to bigger in the day plus you get NRNB (critical with this fella), BOG and more places.
Hang on would be my advice...

Cant understand the interest in this horse? doesn't fit trends for this race.

Plenty of positives depending on what you are interested in as a profile for the race. Previous festival winner and Gold Cup 2nd, down in grade, prep over hurdles was not a disgrace, trainer has won this race 3 times from 15 runners and 1 place. Negatives obviously his age (for this race), jumping potentially, out of form. Can see both sides, but one I'm keen on at 22's (that I've got), not so much the 8's now available.

Pretty much summed it up there COD

(and on the whole doesnt jump well enough!)

who was the last placed horse in a Gold Cup to come back and win another race at the festival?

sorry I'll rephrase that, who was the last horse to be placed in a Gold Cup to come back and win a different race at the festival, preferably a handicap since plenty using this as an angle regarding MR

It's not so much the Gold Cup place per se, more the festival form which is more crucial, I just name dropped the race as it is the blue ribbon of the festival :devilish:

COD,
You need a horse showing signs of improvement for this race. 22s is only value if he delivers.........I can't have him at all.
All the best with him.
