Triumph Hurdle 2019

Looked like a dog last time imo. Head carriage ?

Was just very evident that was his 1st run over hurdles . I expect he goes like a dream at home on the flat. Hence why he works with BD.
If he could some how learn to skip over them like a buveur dair or melon then they'd be in business

If only it was that easy. ....

Hadnt heard he works with BD. :encouragement: ...not a lay then

Second small antepost for season done in Coko Beach at 33-1 for Triumph. A 3yo gelding who ran once in FR winning nicely on debut at Nantes. If the son of Cokoriko acclimatises quickly, he could give Gigginstown a great chance of winning the Triumph 2 years running with a grey...

So far in UK/Ire, this has been a poor group of juveniles. One big reason is 90% of this seasons best juveniles imo are in Francois Nicolle's yard and they're not leaving. One who has left is Coko Beach. His debut win form is working out well and he looks a very nice prospect.

Interested to hear your thoughts on that scooby? Is his reasoning solid. Is Francois Nicolle the man with a completel stranglehold?

This guy is a French Racing expert and does not even really before with UK and Irish racing anymore. He’s been into for a while and is the most knowledgable Tweeter out there.

It's reasonable. A. CHAILLE-CHAILLE has a couple of the best ones. But f.nicolle has more depth.

If you want the best ones just look at BEAUMEC DE HOUELLE they all try and take him on. Adjali was 2nd behind him.

Good lord, the prize money is ridiculous for 3yo hurdles!

Hi Scooby91,

I see Mullins has a mare called La Sorelita entered up in a grade 2 juvenile at leopardstown do you like her or would you prefer Coko Beach.

Chris she was entered up in the race Coeur Subline + Chief Justice battled out as well- so Mullin's is giving her lofty entries...perhaps a case of racing in the graded races, if she wins shes a graded winner, if she doesnt shes still a novice next year?

She's already won. Won't be a novice.

Saw a few mention SIR EREC on Twitter today:

Sir Erec now owned by JP and with JPOB, has entry in a maiden hurdle on 27th. Surprised APOB didn’t hold onto him for another flat season, won’t be too many higher rated ones going hurdling.

SIR EREC, last seen when finishing a close up third behind Stradivarius on Champions Day, is now with Joseph O'Brien and owned by JP McManus, entered in the opening Maiden Hurdle at Leopardstown on 27th December, same race connections won with Ivanovich Gorbatov three years ago.

Very interesting imo..

Saw that too, quite shocked flutters- have to admit, staying 2miles on the flat he wouldn't appeal to me so much....but sometimes they possess the speed for this anyway.

Very interesting! He was progressive at the back end of the season.

Not a chance that the market take a chance on him though.... but interesting project!

Our Power seems to have improved quite a bit from his previous two runs over hurdles.

Might be a nice one in the Fred Winter - can't see him or Style De Vole winning the Triumph but I liked the way Our Power took the lead at the 2nd last and he's going to have plenty of experience in handicaps to fall back on too if he does end up at the festival that can only be a help compared to his rivals.

I see La Sorelita @6's and Coko Beach @16's for the Knight Frank Juvenile hurdle they look to big to me any opinions?

If Coko Beach is an intended runner is a big price relative to his Triumph price. ... but I don't know if he's an intended runner

Farclas started out in the same race for connections, though Elliott has a strong hand without Coko Beach currently entered up. On prices you'd have to say CB won't be running, which will be a shame.

I'd want to see CB in this race for sure. 16's very big. Elliot likes this race and I'd expect him want to get a run in as soon as possible. Although likes other have mentioned price doesn't look positive. However FARCLAS went off SP of 10/1 in the knight frank hurdle last year.

COKO BEACH is as low as 10/1 in places already. I'm still hopeful of a run.
