Triumph Hurdle 2019

Just so everyone knows, it's still the same situation.
"Probably won't be ready"

Is that what you were told?

Harry Dernham seemed like it was quite possible he’d make it. Definitely not a ‘probably won’t be ready’ vibe in that podcast

Why enter him if he won't be ready, seems strange?

Presumably they still 'hope' he will be ready Jack. Imagine how annoying it would be to not enter him... then see him come to hand nicely in a few weeks? Its peanuts to enter the horse and give themselves the option.

Yes. By someone who would know as much if not more than Harry derham

I screen shot the private message from his official account and sent to kevloaf. That's the exact quote on the final message he sent me.

I can confirm that is the case... if anyone is doubting.

Nicholls says they plan to run Pic D’Orhy and go’s straight for the triumph in the rp

It’s from the trainer comments of pricewise’s triumph hurdle selection. Not sure when the interview with Nicholls was done though.

Scooby the ever knowledgable Rhys Williams has posted on your horse and it’s rating on Twitter!

Dosent make much sense. He already had 138 when he rang up. so they left him. Pic d'orhy 149.

I cashed Dogon once I knew his rating and obviously considering his performance last week.
I assumed the handicapper had left it the same mark as what they already knew he'd got.
When I though about it I Just wasn't happy that they decided to run if they were totally happy with the mark, and once pulled up on Saturday I figured I'd cash and wait for another entry and run as the price is unlikely to collapse, but I'll be keeping an eye out.

He ran because Paul thought hes better than the FW and they thought he could go close. Briony took the Ride because would have been her ride in the triumph. Then obviously he missed 2 hurdles and was on the back foot straight away so wasn't any point in giving him a hard race

Std on quel destin
Cobden on pic d'orhy

encouraging that they thought him better than 138 then.
But I'd have thought if he'd been low 130's they wouldn't have run. And ran in much weaker race or straight FW.
Just unfortunate with how it turned out really.

Davy Russell in the saddle for Coeur Sublime thank god. :triumphant:

"We run two in the very hot Juvenile Hurdle over 2 miles. Tiger Tap Tap (Ruby) ran a cracker here behind Sir Erec at Christmas and if he has gained enough experience from that run he should be very competitive again. However, he does have very little racing experience. Lamarckise (Paul) is a nice French mare who is having her first run for us. It is hard to see her being competitive here at this stage of her career"
