Triumph Hurdle 2019

Everything but I'd say it's my biggest edge. As traders are too lazy to look. Or interpret form poorly. Probably the former

:encouragement:

Spot on.

fret d'estruval looks interesting for sure. Any trainer comments?

I don't think you need them. Came from the master maccaire same as adjali.
You'll see him in a few days on the track.

Scoob.

Are you worried about Alan King being the trainer.

Wouldn't make a difference to me at all personally. I don't follow any stats at all. Each horse is an individual.

None of them horses listed above are fret d'destruval so I don't see any relevance

Took 40/1 Fret D'estruval. Solid case again Scooby

I'll be dissapointed in myself if he doesn't win at the weekend, he deffinately won't lengthen in odds so worst case scenario you can get your cash back.

Scoobs has got an excellent handle on the french juveniles for sure. And I've covered one or two myself based on his knowledge and information (thankyou sir)

But for now I'll still be waiting and watching the most important race for the triumph in February in Ireland, then making my mind up which will be my bigger bet from that. It;s worked well for last few years, so I'll not be changing yet.

I tend not to get too carried away by King's horses either as they tend to look nice speedy types but struggle on the big day. Although he cannot be ignored as he's won it in the past.

For me, Henderson and Elliott seem to bring them on the best in terms of stamina and strength, and Mullins obviously have to be considered but I'm never convinced he's doing a great deal with them and is more patient than most.

I'll definitely be looking for the stamina types again as even if ground comes up good, the young speedier types seem to find it hard to win this race.

The cautious comments by the connections of Adjali regarding speedy tracks not being quite ideal are encouraging, especially given the style of victory the other day.

I'll be wanting the spring juvenile winner myself.
Hoping it's farid or lamarckise.

Fwiw lethal steps prob the one for gordon the others don't look good enough to me. And he usually waits to bring his best after getting a feel for it with the others. I'll be hovering over lethal steps this weekend should he come up against the likes of farid....

Yeh exactly, I used 365 so I can cash out, it just so happens they offer the largest price I could find too

The Triumph Hurdle thread has been very informative thanks largely to the contributions from Scooby, which as commented by others are much appreciated. I don't have any pearls of wisdom to add unless there are any coincidence backers out there. I couldn't help noticing that in the FARID race which Scooby advised us to watch all 8 runners have names beginning with the letter F. I'm certain I have never seen anything like that before and what odds would would 365 have given...

Maybe it's a sign that the 2019 winner will be Farid or Fret D'estruval but then again we have just had an F with Farclas......

Personally I'm in the Adjali camp and can't wait for March to see how this all pans out.

Its a French thing depending on which year your born you have to name the horse by a certain letter of the alphabet

Its a very weird rule that!

In Germany you used to have to name all horses with the same first letter as the dam. Which is another daft one! Not sure if its still the same.

Well done yesterday scooby, hope you won a nice few quid.

Update from King in the Weekender.

There are big juvenile hurdle races at Cheltenham and Doncaster and i expect to be represented in both. There are three i'm looking to spread across them, the most familiar of whom would be Cracker Factory. He has some very good form - he was second at Cheltenham last time and the horse of Gordon Elliott's he beat in the Wensleydale came out and won a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse last weekend. This weekend will be his last race until the spring.

Elysees is also in the mix and has won his last two at short odds. The last of the three is a horse we've got from Guillaume Macaire called Fret D'Estruval. He won his last two in France and, while we're not sure what the strength of the form is, we've been happy with him and he's definitely ready to start.
He's owned by Messrs Munir and Souede, like Cracker Factory, so we'll be keeping those two apart. We'll see what the ground is like nearer the time and split them up accordingly. I imagine two would go to Doncaster and the other to Cheltenham.

Cracker Factory and Fret D'Estruval are the same price for Saturday. Not taking any chances.

At what time would the summit hurdle become not ante post?

Not a huge fan of the Skelton stable but added 2pt win Protektorat at 33/1 with Hills, if he was with another trainer it would be 4pt win. Also added Fret Destruval 2 pt win

He was beat 4 lengths by the horse that was 2nd behind farid. Nice horse
