To win TODAY and at the Festival

Dont know if its a mistake or one of Eggs anomalies but PP are 1/5 odds 1,2,3 when only 6 are left at the 6 day stage for The Morgiana

Sadlier would be good with those terms !

....Shattered Love and Festival Mares Chase 28-1 with Hills.

PP have a few Tiger Woods & Tiger Roll specials;
Tiger Woods Masters top 10 & Tiger Roll win on Friday 18-1
Woods top 5 & TR win 33-1
Woods & TR win 175-1

Just saw that Racing Blogger prat has staked Jonbon (Douvan's full brother who just sold to JP for ?570,000) to win 2022 Supreme and 2023 Arkle at 300/1...

Spotted it on Hills earlier! What a joke! :highly_amused::highly_amused:

Anyone else on other than Lobos? Fair play if so, and to anyone reading this 17.5 is still available boosted with Hills. Not my idea of a bet as per the mares thread. Very surprised the bookies have gone as short as 10's. Does an 11/10 shot winning a 4 runner listed race on deep ground at Clonmel in November really do much to enhance Cheltenham credentials? Not in my book.

....I didn’t take that Shattered Love special myself, thought 28-1 was a bit stingy given 25-1 was readily available this morning.

Ah right. 25s is nice though. That'll do !

:encouragement: Right move IMO.

As she's 20/1 too having won... doing it manually would have been better value.

Worth highlighting but they won't always be the best play.

The best ones IMO are when the 'day of race' market really moves for one but the odds don't adjust, a bit like what was happening with PTKO (although not day of race).

...the 150-1 Unexcepted wasn’t too shabby for the Arkle.

Shattered Love gets her perfect conditions tomorrow, and agree with everyone who has mentioned the generous price.

I'm not convinced for her in this race come March, but I may have a little of the potential winnings on her tomorrow roll on to this race depending how she looks dropped back into Mares company. Lobo's stat showing her record in Mares company does draw me in. 20/1 for the race currently, even a price cut by half (which I couldn't see) would result in a 30/1 + price. She's been well beat in plenty of races lately but she drops back into much easier company and the horses who have been beating her are stacking up some good early season form.

The bet was to take her price today and then roll it onto the Mares.
A general 7/4 last night, now an average of 14's (that's being generous considering there's still 16's and 20's). ?10 stake would return ?412.50, so 40/1.
45/1 and 56/1 if you have all bookies to choose from.

Sometimes these bets are good value and top shout to eggs to keep highlighting them. I've backed a few already this season but there's times where the price looks much better than what actually transpires. Always worth checking if the these specials are actually good or bad.

Taking the ?10 stake again, you could have bet her today, then put ?19.50 of the ?27.50 on her to win at 14's with the benefit of cashout.
Keeping the ?8 as profit which basically means you have free bet on her for the Mares.
Compared to sticking ?10 on the boosted 28/1 double.

Shattered Love is all about Soft to Heavy ground.
She is very good on extremely soft ground.

If you back her, then it is in the hope of Soft/Heavy ground at Cheltenham, on Gold Cup day.

If is good to soft then the opposition would have to be very poor for her to win.

Maybe if you have the Shattered Love bet on a Soft/Heavy Gold Cup Day, then it’s worth looking for Gold Cup and Triumph Hurdle runners that like extremely soft ground, for doubles and multis with her.

...the 150-1 Unexcepted wasn’t too shabby for the Arkle.

:encouragement: I know.

Anything at over 100/1 starts becoming more appealing as it's the sum of the potential reward that starts being the most appealing!

Was just highlighting they need looking at on a case by case basis :)

Keep them coming.

She definitely likes to get her toe in no doubt but she's a very classy Mare. She's beaten a 149 rated Mare there with utter ease by 10 lengths. No Mare has managed to beat her yet in 5 chases. There's only one race she'll be running in come March and she'll be very difficult to keep out of the frame. She's a festival winner so we know she likes the course and is a top horse in the spring. Very happy with her in the book (2pts @ 25/1) . If the likes of Benie and Kettle stay away then she can bully the younger novices into submission. Woman v Girls.

....also highlighted elsewhere;

Happy Diva to finish 1st 5 in PP GC & win Mares Chase is 60-1 with Sky.

I'll never forget almost being one of the founding members of the Shattered Love fan club, I was dead sweet on her for the RSA, the year she won the JLT, not many on here liked her that much, and at least one respected forum member told me Dounikos was better :highly_amused: All roads looked set for her to end up in the RSA then bam, they switch targets, killed me that did, luckily I took full advantage of the SkyBet first race of the day offer that year and she duly obliged in that instead to save a bit of face.

Anyway, on her current situation, I do think she is a very solid place prospect for the Mares Chase, I do struggle to see her being good enough to win it at this stage of her career, as I do think ground will be most important to her, but she'd be staying on up that hill for sure.

Mister Fisher 100/1 to win the PP Gold Cup + Ryanair with Sky if it's of interest to anybody. Doesn't seem a bad price but suppose you might get bigger with on the day elsewhere.
