Hard to get away from festival form so you would have to go with shiskin as the most likely winner.

I like them both, but Shishkin has done it at Cheltenham when things didn't go his way and the Tamaroc Du Mathan form has made my mind up.

slight jumping to the right, and trip possibly being a bit sharp on better ground would be slight worries with energumene.

I agree with Lobos, Henderson & Nico’s confidence in the horse is something to note even if they do dote and fantasise about many of their horses, with Shiskin their confidence is intense. I’ll put it out there that Shiskin will win by the biggest margin at the Festival, I think the race will be over before the last fence....20 lengths or more winning margin and there will be a surprise for second place.

Was doing a little preview for my work poker club as compensation for rinsing them for ?160 last week, and I settled on Shiskin. I don't go for "machine can't be beaten" kind of chat cos anything can happen. He deffo can be beaten, and Energumene looks really slick (still sick thinking about those 50/1 bumper slips back in the day haha) and it's not outside the realms of possibility he could win it. But Shiskin has posted some savage times on the clock, form is starting to stack up and has looked mint in a season when his trainer has looked anything but. The race oould pan out nicely for him too with two targets to aim at coming up the hill. So narrowly favour Shiskin

The Arkle can really cut up with a single outstanding horse scaring the others off. I have done well over the years. This year I have been all in on Shishkin with the only risk being how does he jump. For me he is an outstanding fencer very fast and gets himself out of trouble if meets it wrong. Energumene has looked great, fast and slick. How many times do we see good horses clash, but one just simply proves to be in a different league. For me, Shishkin will prove to be that horse.

Energumene for me but there isn't much in it. Just think his races in deeper company will put him in better stead for this than Shishkin beating small fields here. I don't think his Supreme win has proven to be as good as it first looked and he should be taken on.

Barry Geraghty was very complimentary about Energumene and he's ridden the 2 best 2 milers this century.

Shishkin wins imo so he has to be the better bet. Wouldn't switch especially with the ground now going against Energumene. On Soft ground I may have covered him but not now.

The only one I have backed of the two in a single is energumene, I only have shishkin in multiples as his price has always been too short to interest me, but I think shishkin is probably going to win.

Maybe its just the common fear of the one that I dont have backed, but like I said earlier I have two worries with energumene, and none with shishkin.

I hope im wrong and I will know after the first few fences, if energumenes jumping doesnt go all asterion forlonge, and he is comfortably keeping pace with allmankind then my confidence will grow a lot.

But yes if shishkin can be got anywhere at even money right now I would be taking that over the 9/4 or 5/2 on energumene.

Shishkin for me.

I think the last day Captain Guinness looked like he was travelling a lot better than the previous meeting between himself and Energumene. Now that doesn’t mean Energumene wouldn’t have won had CG not fallen but I don’t think would have been 8 lengths+ behind imo.

Shishkin I think is a lot better than CG and I think he’ll be able to travel in behind Energumene and pick him up.

I can see them jumping the last together which would be thrilling to watch!
