The Mares races

Pink in the Park the next Mullins hot prospect after that performance in the Bumper? Probably one for hurdling next year at only 4 but could win a few mares bumpers this season

Hes got a huge conveyor belt of them hasn't he. Unfortunately there's no way we can back them all.

Finest Evermore interests me. Not even priced up. Second she is I'm steaming in. She's a talented horse completely forgotten IMO.

Strange that she isn't priced up for the Mares Hurdle. Her form is right up there. Pretty sure she'd be aimed that way don't you think ?

She could be a bit special, She had been working well & brought it to the race track today, She is a fine mare, we'll look for some Listed bumpers with her now but the race in Gowran (next month) comes too soon.

I might give her a break now and put her by until Christmas or the Dublin Racing Festival

i am assuming they are quotes from Willie

QUOTES: She could be a bit special that one. PINK IN THE PARK had been working well and brought it to the track today. She's a fine mare, we'll look for some Listed bumpers with her now. We might put her away until Christmas or the Dublin Racing Festival. She's got it on both sides in terms of pedigree, being by Walk In The Park and out of Pink Hat, who's from the family of Morley Street and Granville Again. She has a top class pedigree - Willie Mullins, trainer.

Not sure what she was up against but couldn't have been more impressive

.............but should never be getting quotes of 8/1. I don't know what the bookies are up to this year but at this rate no one will be betting on anything from here on in.

Augusta Kate won on debut for Willie Mullins, in the same Bumper that Pink In The Park won today, back in 2015.

She won by 23 lengths and got an RPR of 122.

Afterwards she won the Mares Listed Bumper at Navan, in November by. 7 lengths, with an RPR of 125.

She was then left until the Cheltenham Festival Champion Bumper, and went off 7/2 Fav - finishing 7th, beaten 5 length by Ballyandy (her RPR 121).

With this winner Willie commented that

“She could be a bit special that one. PINK IN THE PARK had been working well and brought it to the track today. She's a fine mare, we'll look for some Listed bumpers with her now. Sounds
like they may be going to the Naas Listed Bumper next, and then the Mares Grade 2 Bumper that Grangee won at the last DRF, and maybe a Christmas run first.

Willie didn’t mention taking on the boys at Cheltenham in that quote.

There wasn’t a Grade 2 Mares Bumper at the DRF for Augusta Kate, the programme provides for better opportunities now for Mares.

Will know tomorrow what her RPR is.

They can go and do one with odds of 8/1 in September. I'll leave before the race and get a booth with a TV in the pub ready for the Champions League games.

Most aren’t quoting for the Champion Bumper, maybe because the trainer didn’t mention it in that race plan.

Unibet are 25/1
Skybet are 20/1.

I wouldn’t be backing her, at those prices either, but she looks a very useful one for the Graded Mares Bumpers.

Better though. Paddy Power odds compiler needs a slap. I'm still missing the race though and rushing off to the Frog and Fiddle. Great pub.

I’ve taken the 25s on Pink in the Park, which I think is more than fair based on the performance, breeding & post race comments

You have to factor in that she is owned and bred by Jackie Mullins and almost certainly for sale at the right price.

Almost identical to last season when JP bought the Mare from her - she could be 'special', time will tell but as many have pointed out that race looks fairly poor yesterday so hard to learn too much from it.

Pink in the Park didn't really get me off my seat, they had another mare called Ashroe Diamond romp up exactly like that in the summer

….for anybody interested in Idoles des Jeune for MNH for which it’s a best price 16-1, Sky still have it at 16-1 in their a/r list.

Lady Buttons is set to return to training after issues with being a broodmare
