The Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle

Simon Rowlands has put up Tremwedge for the adonis

A word of caution with Alan King, he has history of protecting a horses maiden tag so tomorrow could be more about getting experience into the horse rather than getting a raised mark for a Cheltenham bid.

Scarlet Dragon cost me a fortune in this very race (Adonis) 2/3 years ago, how Hutch was never pulled bu the stewards is beyond me....

Nicholls “Mick Pastor is also a good juvenile. He’s rated 140 which could look attractive for the Boodles”

Think it will depend on Solo today, and the marks given to Cerberus & Wave of the Sea.
So I'd say not set in stone.

Yeah I'll be cheering on fujimoto flyer today! Have WOTS in the triumph so all not lost if mick pastor comes here.

Have added Langer Dan for this 33/1. Was a touch disappointed after he lost his last couple of races, but with hindsight the form with horses like botox has & nordano looks pretty decent now.
Skelton has had kings d'argent & nube negra go close the last couple of years so he knows what it takes to go close & has sounded pretty bullish about him recently, including last night.
His lack of experience is obviously a negative, but harry Skelton has seemed to be trying to give him an education during his races so far.
I'm fairly confident there's more improvement to come & would be shocked if he doesn't out those odds.

This is one of the ones I am adding next week and was fully prepared to lay out as you have done about Skelton, but thanks for saving me the time :highly_amused:

I'm sure you'd do a much better job than me so don't stop on my behalf :highly_amused:

Garry Clermont in the Dovecote beat Langer Dan LTO. Interested to see how he runs.

Absolutely gutted with this news. Having seen Solo run I can see why though! Have backed Mick Pastor all the same for this now.

Cashed out my 33/1 bet in this before PP suspended cash out :mad-new:

Clutching at straws probably regarding Mick Pastor and Nicholls comment "looks attractive for Boodles" , could it just be Nicholls is trying gamesmanship , and pushing for him to come here even though JP McManus has fav Aramax already and probably either Wave to the Sea or Cerberus coming already to Boodles.

MP clearly has more improvement to come and that 140 going to be much higher afterwards imo and only Nicholls clearly knows how much.

JP have a word mate PPPPLLLLLEEEEEEAAAASSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE:encouragement:

Nope, you've done a grand job.

Touching on pretty much everything I was going to :encouragement:

Surely Mick Pastor should go Boodles? There’s Allmankind, Goshen, Aspire Tower, and now Solo at the top of the market. Plus Nicholls has Sir Psycho too, whose last two runs look very impressive. If MP is the 3rd best juvenile he has why run him to finish 3rd?! Stick him in the Boodles and if he runs to better than his rating he has a huge chance of winning.

Ultimately might not be up to nicholls, jp might want him here along with one of the O’Brien pair to chuck 2 darts at it.

I was looking at tomorrows Adonis trying to decide which of the hotpots to back (Solo or Fujimoto Flyer) or if there was an outsider worth considering. Noticed that the ex-Irish Tremwedge is declared. On his first run for Alan King he finished 7th beaten 11 1/2l by Chantry House. He would have preferred softer going/or he was trying to get a handicap mark. He was given 126 which probably wont get into this race.
On his previous race, 2nd time over hurdles he ran in G3 at Fairyhouse and finished 6 1/4l behind Cerberus (Wave of the Sea was 2nd and Saint D'oroux was 4th) He was sold later in December for £80k.
I am not saying he will win tomorrow but he will be trying to get a couple pounds or more added to his OR.
Just backed him EW @ 25/1 NRNB with B365

Mission accomplished? I expect a 4lb hike tomorrow from the handicapper -126 to 130 for Tremwedge- and Solo going up to 148. This IMO puts Tremwedge 4lb well in with all 3 of Cerberus, A wave of the Sea and Saint D'oroux. He is on average twice their price.
B365 25/1 NRNB

...I posted a link this afternoon on the Cheltenham Bets thread where Geraghty talks about some of his Cheltenham rides. He says Mick Pastor (and Wave of the Sea) is caught between two stools, not having the quality for the Triumph and being too high in the weights for the handicap.

Up 3 pounds to 129.

Dont understand how thyme white is shorter than Rowland ward in this, Rw beat him fairly easily and then would have gone close in the gr2 triumph trial at chelt bar being hampered.. 25s nrnb 33s unibet...only 17s on the exchanges...
