The 2025 DRF

My treble at worst is a value loser :triumphant:

For me

1.15 Jasmin De Vaux E/W
1.50 Saint Lucie Win
2.25 Mordor E/W
4.35 He Can't Dance

GDC / Majborough - Win Double

Saint Lucie / GDC / He Can't Dance - Win Treble

Saint Lucie / Majborough / GDC / He Can't Dance - Win Acca

Final Dmand, Supasundae & He Can't Dance & Lady Vega Allen - TWAF

I've been against Jasmin so far this season but think he's worth a win only bet today (11.0 on exchange). He's arguably the most talented in the field but obviously needs to improve his jumping. I backed Final Demand ante post at 3/1, and he has been smashed up overnight which looks too short now.

No bet in the Arkle yet, but I'm edging towards Firefox.

Meetingofthewaters at 8/1 is my other ante post today.

Pretty difficult to see past most of the favourites today, aside from the bumper that just looks crap.
I suppose the handicap chase has 3 or 4 interesting types along with loads of regular faces, and have backed Shanbally Kid simply off his mark, and hopefully they've been planning a handicapping campaign in Spring with him.
But the grade 1's seem to have favourites that are underpriced but I can't really see a bet beyond them.
All favourites backed at slightly better odds than now but not by a lot.

Joystick and Lucky Lyreen both ew for me

Also like midnight it is in 4.05

No real opinions on today's racing. Favourites all look solid in the grade 1s. Bumper is very poor. Handicap chase I'd be leaving alone.

Handicap hurdle I like Custom Taylor going forward off his current handicap mark but not sure today's test will suit. He'll win a decent pot though this season if he keeps at around that mark.

Gaoth Chuil at 10/1 was of interest but getting backed down now - Leopardstown record of 2 wins, 2 places in 5 runs and record on soft is 13P22P24. Both pulled ups when travelling to Britain for Cheltenham and Aintree. Should be thereabouts.

At bigger prices, I think Binge Worthy and Desertmore House are overpriced.

The problem is that the favourite is massively well in on chase form, the 2nd fav is the same so is it better to bet in the w/o favourite markets? Something I'll decide closer to the off before having a bet

Final Demand is short but he was so impressive on debut. Maybe inexperienced but showed no greenness on debut. I'd be disappointed if any of the others beat him.

Hoping Majborough wins just so we have a good rival to Sir Gino.

A perfect day for me would be Sounds Victorious (staying on close behind either Supersundae or Final Demand would be ok), Galopin winning but F2F pushing him all the way, He can Dance, Majborough Sainte Lucie (Lady Vega acceptable) and Kalif Du Berlais for Mr Hales in the sky.

Not much to ask.

Perci winning over fences at Xmas and hurdles here. Cromwell is some trainer.

Cheers fellas DenmanSacre LeeOVO1988 Ridden like he was the best horse in the race, wasn’t he. Great to see.

LeeOVO1988 Nothing much for me tomorrow. Not away from the obvious anyway. I’ve Kaid D’Authie, Kopek Des Bordes, and Impaire et Passe at good prices antepost so will let them play out.

I’ll probably have a small play on Vischio in the first.

Carrigmornaspruce is my fancy in the bumper. But it’s a really hot race. I wouldn’t be sure at all.

I fancy lily du berlais to go well today in the opener.
Looking at her novice hurdle form from 2023 she's ran some respectable races in graded company behind the likes of irish point, corbetts cross and found a fifty.
A poor performance when tried overy 2.5miles saw a subsequent 332 day break.

since returning she has raced exclusively in the UK.
With 2 wins from her first 3 runs back followed by a couple of stinkers.
one of the wins came in a handicap off a uk mark of 120.
Jj slevin has ridden her 3 times. 2 wins and when 4th in a graded novice race in 2023.

She has had 2 runs at leopardstown in her career, both in the Mares bumper at this meeting.
A win and a 2nd place finish to fun, fun, fun when carrying a penalty.

Shes a best priced 28/1 5places or 22/1 6 places with sky.

Looks like she's been aimed here and with her leopardstown record and strike rate with jj slevin i think shes a pretty good chance today.

Really looking forward to today's racing and, in particular, James's Gate in the big handicap hurdle (3.50). He won very easily at Naas and seems to be realising his potential.
After Naas, Brassil nominated the Coral Cup; he definitely has some unfinished business after An Epic Song. If that's the plan, then. today is about experience in a big field and consolidating his handicap mark; he has already run well on the Old Course when finishing 3rd in the Cheltenham Bumper.
On the other hand, he may be better than that, and an impressive win today and the Supreme would not be an outlandish idea. That race does not have.a stand-out candidate. Salvator Mundi must justify the hype, and the others would not scare you off.
The 33's with Ladbrokes would soon go if he did win. Whatever happens, unless he bombs out totally, keep him on your Cheltenham list, but make it NRNB given his fragility.

**UPDATE**. James's Gate out - coughing. Will wait until Cheltenham for him to win now!

Others I like today are Savante, Redemption Day (with the hood back on) and Sequestered. El Fabiolo was way too long during the week, but his price has gone. Jis first time out record is excellent, so must have a great chance.
I would love Carrignorna Spruce to win, but the way Amen Kate beat her at Listowel is hard to forget.

McLaurey 12/1 antepost. 9/1 post decs. Travelled all over them.

Kicking myself there, always back Jody in the bumper and fell into the Queally horse because of Sortudo(Jody's ride!) yesterday
