Supreme Novices Hurdle 2021

Puts a dent in dusart.. Soaring was givin him 6lbs that day and was recieving 5 from L lad...

Indeed, not ideal, but I'll wait to see Dusart again before judging him further. Hopefully he takes up the race at Kempton that Altior won on his way to winning the Supreme.
 
Ferny Hollow pushed out by PP/Betfair and seemingly friendless on the exchanges again (now for some reason right at the bottom of the market?!?).

Ruby said on RTV that Willie not happy with him so took him out Christmas engagements. Also says he doesnt know exactly what the issue is. So its very similar to the line the trotted out last year on Saldier
 
Kennel Gate didn’t look like a Supreme winner finding race.

Winner won well, whilst receiving 5lb from the runner-up.

The Sandown Grade 1 is next, I would think, usually ends up a small field race, with a gruelling slog up the hill.

Got to agree with you there... But Iv got this horrible feeling that we've not seen the supreme winner out yet... Nrnb might have been the right way to go this year...

He does look a top chasing prospect for next season. Doubt they'll mess about too much with him this season. A stunning looking horse.
 
Anyone heard of any future plans for I AM MAXIMUS(bar the post race quote of discuss which route he goes down nto)? At the time the bumper he won at chelt got blasted a bit due to pulling well clear with a 50/1 shot(My drogo) and the fav a well beaten 10L 4th(Smurphy Enki). Hendo doesn't send too many to the fez bumper and this lad is only 4 so could easily enough mind him this season but his next entry whenever that is i'll be having a look out for in case it is a hurdle start. Obvs it's fanciful thinking but the supreme market fails to inspire at present so looking far and wide.

As a side note watching the bumper back is it me or does his action look really odd? looks gangly almost straight legged and very different to others in the race around him.

Nicky has openly stated he’s not a fan of the Champion Bumper and would only send a horse of it was clearly good enough. I really like I Am Maximus’s bumper and My Drogo’s win today boosted it again. I’m wondering if he is Henderson’s Kempton horse on Boxing Day?? He usually uses this race to display his better novices

Haven't seen anything but then again iv'e only been looking for snippets tonight having tied up a few formlines from earlier. Will keep the eyes peeled for his next entry but there is still room for potential optimism given a few of Hendos have taken a bumper on route to hurdling that season or started later than now(none have won mind)

25s to back. So frustrating is the yards contempt for punters/fans on this one, a total piss take they can’t even muster a few sentences just to set the record straight. But let’s face it, he’s out for the season isn’t he.

Post race quote of could go down either route nto bumper/hurdles. Bar that I've seen nothing and no one has replied thus far(only been a couple of hours since I asked thou in fairness)

Even though he didn't win happy enough to have Llandinabo Lad on side at 40s as he's best price 33s now. Not sure if he has enough to win it but ran well enough under penalty and might be able to pick up a place who knows. Does remind me of Itchy Feet's novice season a lot with couple of decent looking early wins then a 2nd under penalty when stepping up into graded company so hopefully he can sneak into that top 3 like he did!
