It’ll be interesting to see how Shishkin goes on Wednesday. Enemy Coast Ahead is a possible opponent (does have a Ludlow entry on same day) but he looked just as impressive as Shishkin was when he won his bumper - so might not be a walkover.
 
Shishkin runs tomorrow against a really well thought of horse in Enemy Coast Ahead.
 
I’ve added Shishkin here @ 33’s prior to him running tomorrow.

Not played with many in this race yet, Fly Smart the only other really (Jon Snow cashed, Envoi cashed).

Still think there will be at least a couple to impress before a price collapse on debut so happy to add Shishkin at the price. Connections rate the horse a lot and won his bumper really well. If he wins will no doubt half in price.
 
Shishkin's bumper form is shite isn't it ?
can only beat what's there and did it easily.
But it's shite.
Not really bred for speed either.

It’s not great no but at 33’s worth taking a chance mate.

Bumper to hurdle form is a lot of guesswork to be honest. You just hope one or 2 turn out to worth the punt.
 
Haven't posted in a long while but came back to the thread as I was interested in what people thought of Shishkin, I remember I posted after his bumper win and someone replied that they reckon he will be aimed at the Ballymore so it's stuck in my head since, I'd like to think that Son of Camas could be one of Nickys for the Supreme and Shishkin for Ballymore?

It's worth a pop yes.
Just trying to avoid backing anymore myself so looking for reasons not to.
I'll probably end up backing it at some point.
Worst yard for hype though. IMO.

Can’t say Shishkin has anywhere near the hype of previous hype horses from Henderson, that I can recall anyway.

Last year we were just about to see the supreme winner run at Ascot in angels breath.

Given his price I think that maybe reflects there not being as much hype. We all know hype horses are backed off the board when there’s a mention etc even before they run.

He's had far more hype than Angel's breath had pre run. Angel's breath had none. Wasnt mentioned at all.

He's been languishing down the bottom of the betting at 33/1 for the last 8 months, what hype?
 
I must have missed a shed load of stuff if Shishkin has been hyped. Only time I see him mentioned is on here or the odd tweet, but nothing like what the Mullins lot have been like over the years, and dare I say....

He hasn't been hyped. Nicky has mentioned him once of twice and he's been 33/1 for 8 months. He was cut yesterday to 25/1 by B365 because his debut is today.
 
I wouldn't say he's had a Ricci Mullins type of hype, but then they've such previous with the race no wonder, theirs get hyped for it. He has been talked about a fair bit, but that's because of the impression left in winning his bumper. Has he been talked about on twitter etc. Of course he has.
