Supreme Novices Hurdle 2020

I don't know whether to take advantage of the fact Slybet are best price on Son of Camas and I have a heap of free bets available at 33/1.

That seems a fair price considering it was available before the race in some places.

Then again, I don't use free bets each way, so I might have 1 pt e/w

Somebody tell me I'm falling into a trap before I pull the trigger.
He'd had a race earlier in the month so you'd assume he was well on the way to being ready.... would race fitness for some of the ones in behind have made a difference? Probably...

He was in my book, and I had completely forgot about him until Q brought him up, but I have my worries after watching him.

For all that he won, he done it nice enough, he beat a couple of horses that (IMO I might add) need further, and he's only just beat them for pace, of course, there is plenty of improvement expected I'd imagine but the bookmakers clearly think something along them lines, as they are offering a more than fair price (given connections reputations etc....). I'd much prefer the 33's about Hang In There than the 33's of Son Of Camas personally.

I'm actually thinking of adding Hang In There very soon.

Hoping for an impressive debut over hurdles from Sempo today. Imo was travelling better than anything turning in in the bumper then got outstayed up the hill. The bumper looks above average this year and I'm happy to be on at 50s.

Ended up a small form boost for Midnight run that race.
Like Midnight run and have backed again for tomorrow at 15/2 ro add to the 10-1 ew antepost earlier in week/
Think it needs a trip in time, but looked speedy enough first time up.
can't decide what to do antepost for the festival for him though.
I'll see tomorrow

I messaged Kevin Blake who looks after Joseph’s entry’s/decs about the horse. He came back to me with“He wouldn't be short of pace at all. Always shown plenty. We'll know more after Sunday, but I don't think pace will be the problem”

Not the answer I really wanted re: his optimum trip this season but a couple have ran well in the RB and still went onto the AB. Long Dog, Bachasson & COF (didn’t run well) last season. I’d say the Ballymore is more likely now but Envoi Allen wins that for me after stepping up for the 2m4f Naas race next. If Envoi looks bombproof connections may look at the AB.

Yep I favour the ballymore, but might cover for supreme in the morning, even though it's a gigginstown :highly_amused: out of well chosen.

Can’t bring myself to back him for the Supreme :highly_amused:

"Envoi looks good. Abacadabras is a speedy type, whereas I can see Envoi Allen stepping out in trip before the season is out," said Elliott.

"Envoi is the type of horse who will carry on improving with every run he has.

"We've got some nice young novice hurdlers this season and they are what you need, as they are the future."

Abacadabras 5/1 vs Envoi today. Anyone here surprised at him being that big a price?

Abacadabras been pretty weak all week... doesn't instil a great deal of confidence for today. Think Midnight Run may be the greatest danger to EA today

Ooooh PERFECT for Abacadbras :)
