Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

I've doubled my stake on him. 3 pts ew now.

Was considering it last night but that'll do.

The form being franked was a big plus and even though it wasn't VDH's best form.

Best of an under achieving bunch from Mullins so far I think

Has one of the tipsters put him up?

I was surprised that my precautionary cover of Elixir D'ainay got cut for finishing a well held second yesterday. PP aren't even quoting him. Anyone got a case for keeping the slip? Haven't seen any sectional breakdowns yet.

Bobby, it was his first run for Mullins who hasn't been firing that great. Vision D'Honneur looked good yesterday + he was well beaten at Leop- very possible your horse will progress in his next run. Might as well hold onto it.

Given that Mullins hasn't been firing great should make Klassical Dream's win all the better too, right?

Form franked also. Surprised 20's are still available myself.

Yeah, runners to winners, he was firing better at Xmas than he is even now- but he wasn't all out fantastic then either.

I thought KD got to the front early enough + didn't take the last that well- so on the day he was value for a bit more.

Now we can confirm Quick Grabim is out of the festival!

No problem, but it was Muswell who put it up first in the 'Out Of Festival' thread :)

Missed that, what was said/

@PAracing - "Supreme hopeful Quick Grabim has been ruled out of the Cheltenham Festival due to a stress fracture "

@Sportinglife - "Blow for Willie Mullins as an injury setback rules Quick Grabim out of the Cheltenham Festival..."

Oh, and WPM....

"He suffered a stress fracture after his last run, but hopefully he will make it back in time for Punchestown"

Hahaha playing :devilish: here but didn't he say suspensory?? + it was put up here plenty before scooby that he was out.....

Not that it matters but might as well get the facts right since we have gone forensic on people's posts on here!

The out for the season thread should probably be in the betting forum - we should be sharing juicer bits of info where they arent visible to every lurker.

With regards to info on horses plans change and horses disappoint - I have had "info" genuinely offered that just doesnt work out. FWIW I cashed out said horse based on Archie's earlier comments. You need to read between the lines at times.

All I have ever said and all I have ever known was that QB wasn't in the yard. The information even came with the rider that it wasn't known whether he was on a break or had a problem. I didn't particularly fancy him anyway but, once that information was out there, anyone who then backed him without NRNB has only himself to blame.

To be exact. And I'm no vet just googled the answer I was given
.
Avulsion fracture of the origin of the suspensory ligament of the horse. ...

Treatment.
Local infiltration of the area with local anesthetic returned the horses to soundness. After a period of rest, varying from a few weeks in the acute injury to 6 months in the chronic injuries, the horses were returned without lameness.
