Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

Would question what trip will be best for DTLUOT, surely there’s no chance you could hold on to him that long in The Supreme?
 
I know they blamed the soft ground for Didtheyleaveuoutto flopping at Chelts, but he could well need a flat track to show his best for me. Its a definite bonus Thomas Darby has already proved he can power up the hill and Id definitely fancy TD to reverse form at Chelts.
 
I know I sound like a broken record with regards to breeding but I can’t have a Presenting progeny winning the Supreme. I also posted a comment from the trainer stating he’d need a trip this season. Ballymore I could see DTLYOT being a player but not the Supreme.
 
DTLUOT was rode with extreme confidence , followed TB every move throughout race , tells me they know what they got. he got pace to burn , Barry was probably surprised the second kept him up to his work right to the line. Interesting conncections felt that ground was borderline to him showing his best and that potent turn of foot on and they adament he will be kept to good ground with just one more run before cheltenham. Find comments bordering on bullish and he being campaigned like a very good horse (touch of the Binocular & Capt Cee Bee about it).

TB certainly ran a great race and more to come id say.

I'm with you on that Jackie.
 
TD did run well but he will need to brush up on his hurdling to win at the festival. It was a nice performance by the pair of them. Both are very nice types and will win races.

I thought TD was really quick over his hurdles. I'm going to have to watch it again as I seem to be in the minority with that opinion.
 
My first 2019 Antepost bet last year was on Sizing Pottsie and to be honest after his bumper flop id kind of given up on him. But hes out tomorrow at Gowran so hoping that he can take the 2 mile nov hurdling division by storm now!!!! But really would be just happy to get a run for my money!

I wouldn’t be too concerned with his second bumper run as jumping was always going to be his game. He’s on my watch list but I’d want to see him run as I’m really unsure what his trip will be.
 
Intrested to see how this Ballyneety fairs today, backed him on debut last year and looked like pissing up with 2F to go , By milan thou so not sure if he will end up going over further through out the season?

I liked him too, caught the eye against blackbow.
Blackbow was very green that day and only learned his job at the end. So he might have come on a fair bit for that the next day.
He'll be an interesting one none the less. Needs to finsh out his race a bit better today.
 
Well he wins pal but jumped like bunny hops very green , but showed ability ,what do you make of it ?

He'll be a decent horse for the future, he can only improve.
I'd take the horse that beat him though, blackbow any day of the week.
 
I'm not backing him on the back of that agreed, plus looking at past winners of that race most go up in trip etc .

My first antepost bet on Sizing Pottsie has gone the way of Draconian I fear and will be in the loss column come March (could do it now). He was well supported in the market so they must be pretty disappointed with that. But hard to take any positives from that, I suppose he was keen enough though ....... Ill stop! 2pts gone!

Same, still looked very green and possibly reluctant to go through with a run in the final couple of furlongs. Watch his head as he approaches the last, looks like he just doesn't want to know. Maybe they need to try run him from the front as he certainly didn't look like enjoyed being behind several horses when asked. Or maybe he is just a sulky horse but it needs sorting out, he was well fancied on Sat.

I wouldn't think TD is Murphys supreme horse. Itchy Feet is his main Supreme horse. He'll get a strong pace in the Supreme and could run into a place. They think the world of him.

I'd say the 2nd there entoucas could be worth following, he'd have learned a good bit there.

Interesting doctor. Will keep my eye on him. Looks well held by TD on the formbook though wouldn't you say?
 
IMO -
That Monksfield race we've just seen, albeit a different trip, makes Bet365's decision to go 50s for Quick Grabim for the supreme, a mistake, looks far the paciest of any of these, and form now looks strong enough, Also Aramon.
