Sober Glory 14-1
JDV 16-1
Might Park 16-1
Jimmy du Seuil 18-1

Zeus Power is case in point as to why if you have a fancy after the festival you should act.

33/1 following the Turners

Wodhooh being aimed at the long walk according to this. Goes on to say mares will probably be her aim, but a good run and they surely contemplate the stayers.

I personally don’t believe the O’Leary’s wouldn’t run their star horse at Cheltenham so i’d be amazed if BDA didn’t turn up in March, especially as she’s followed up at Aintree twice following Cheltenham anyway. I’d say the mares most likely if Lossiemouth is fit and well, so Elliott may be inclined to split his two better chances of a winner.

Completely agree, I see the target/entry as a guide, run and stay well and the horse is telling them 3m is her trip, run like a non stayer and back to Plan A for the Mares Hurdle but if she truly stays the Long Walk trip (which is a stiff 3m) I think it would be tough dropping back in trip especially when they have BDA ready to plug that gap.
That said, if anything should happen to Lossie I think they will be tempted to get BDA to the champion hurdle which likely pushes Wodhooh back to the Mares, as you'd have to say BDA would have a genuine chance in a Lossie-less Champion hurdle...

At 20/1 there's very little risk with small stakes and potential for big reward covering her for the Stayers . No brainer imo.

What do you do with BDA if she wins at leopardstown, beating the reigning champion hurdler??

Just back Lossiemouth again at the bigger price

It'll happen won't it?

‘Soldier Reeves had a great year going novice hurdling last year and just improved and improved. He finished fourth at Cheltenham in the Turners and then second in the Mersey Novices’ at Aintree. I think there is massive unfinished business for him over hurdles. Hopefully, we can step him up to three miles around Christmas and beyond.’

‘The New Lion had a good year though without quite landing the Grade 1 which we were hoping for. He finished third in the Champion Hurdle and runner-up at Aintree and won the International at Cheltenham. We will stay hurdling with him, but we would look to stepping up in trip.’

It's a good question but I think the likes of Lossie's campaign is built back from March, a defeat along the way isn't an issue as long as the horse is sound and can be 100% for the main target, and I don't honestly believe Elliott or GIggs think she is a better horse than Lossie, so all things being equal I think they'll duck a match.
What she proved last year is that she can run a big championship race and back it up with a comfortable win at Aintree so whilst there's been plenty of talk in the past about saving the horse for Aintree she can cope with the back to back races...

That's better.

Wodhooh would be a nailed on WTAF bet to stake if declared for the Long Walk. Barring a 'perfect' season at 3m for Wodhooh then she will always have the Mares Hurdle option hanging over her. Not convinced connections of BDA have any interest in the Mares Hurdle. There is a perfectly acceptable campaign at Leopardstown, Aintree and potentially Punchestown without taking in Cheltenham, which they have already said they could skip. As said, she could well go for Champion Hurdle if Lossiemouth was to miss and I would be happy to save at a big price as I did last year for that race on the Exchanges. Gigginstown have Place De La Nation to fill the Mares Hurdle spot assuming she is staying over hurdles so no need to run BDA there and potentially jeopardise a Spring campaign.

Agree completely RR. Gordon also has Oldschool Outlaw who could be an able deputy for him in what may turn out to be a weak looking Mares.
Hattons Grace, Irish Champion Hurdle, Aintree, Punchestown for BDA I reckon.

Don't think it is far off. Expect December Hurdle at Leopardstown over Xmas will be on the agenda. Maybe seasonal return if weather stays dryish.

Any concern that Gordon fucked up when he said Long Walk and actually meant Ascot Hurdle? Both at Ascot and early enough in the season. Ascot Hurdle also the race she started off in and ran last year.

He has runners in the Long Walk, couple of JP ones recently, so you'd like to think he knows what it is.

Not seen where he said about her target and how clear it was.

Wouldn't be the first time he fucked up...

He did specifically say in December though and the Ascot Hurdle is November 21st

Have there been any updates from the Mullins stable on Jasmin De Vaux?
