Impressive again, all stamina . Hope the stayers is not like last year thou with a bunched sprint wouldn't suit him at all.

Absolutely fantastic, a proper test. Like others was on at 25s after Ascot but topped up with the 6.49 WH had shortly after.

Well done to you all on at the big prices. The horse has never been on my radar. That was very impressive indeed.

Kev... seeing how the poll doesn't close until 7.30pm... and I hadn't voted, Ive just had a go :highly_amused:

CCM, he's been my money maker of the year- been on him every race! They opened 12s about him at Aintree as well!

Owes me nowt, but hopefully he does what Sam Spinner couldn't!

Well done to you jack.

Superb performance by PP. Best 3m performance of the season Imo

Black Op travelled well but didn’t get home; one for the Aintree Hurdle?

He'll improve for the run and go again in the stayers. (Not saying he'll improve to that point) but on any given day a race can be ran differently, he's a solid ew chance

I absolutely love Paisley Park but the Irish will be a different ball game. Penhill and Faugheen are still huge players in this for me.

PP was impressive but it was a stop-start gallop not all out as some are saying. The time wasn't great either. Worthy fav nonetheless.

Penhill look so better and better!

Willhill have pushed Penhill out to 7/1.

I won't copy and paste the opening post (or all the cases made for Penhill in these pages) but THE plan is for him to go straight there, so it's generous of the bookies to push him out is it not?

Paisley Park was good today, no question, and he's a good little winner for plenty of us I'm sure, but they have him 2/1 fav versus the 7/1 reigning Champion?

Seems VERY bold? (I appreciate you can get 7/2), but I'd take 7/1 Penhill over 7/2 Paisley Park (if I was starting fresh)!

I think it's wise to put faith in Willie, even though I didn't last year!

Yeah I noticed that too. It's obviosuly not a big shift but a bold call no matter how good PP was today. For all I think he may have a tougher time this year, last year the absence and seasonal debut in this race was forced upon them. This year however it has been the plan and as far as we can be aware no setbacks have arisen.

Like I said for me this now looks a match bet between Pasiley Park and Penhill but such difference in price certainly doesn't make sense. It's priced as if Penhill has had a setback and this hasn't all been part of the plan isn't it?

I didn't last year either. My entire book (that I planned and did for the race) came down to quite aggressive dismissal of L'ami Serge.

The 'prep/lack of' and "the gamble from owner/booking a box" took my right off the scent.

Won't make the same mistake again... it's pretty boring, but Mullins has proven time and time and time again that he can win Cheltenham races first time out... and with a dual festival winner at 7/1, I think he's the play still!

they don't go all out in this. They start fast, slow down to get a breather. Penhill will stay fine.
