I think Bacardys is the value if he comes here - and with his Chase form he probably will. Would have been placed last year off a bad trip had he not come down at the last... and there's the problem!! Still much shorter if he does turn up.

Bacardys would be my choice in this too if he turned up, was just starting to motor when he came down last year.

Could be.
Id be keen on him as a novice chaser, there's improvement in him. Wouldn't be for a stayers hurdle personally

NICE BET....my 2 main fancies too.....penhill finishes so strong up hill.....one of best in recent years.....and Tiger is just Tiger and will win

Lucky for him, nothing in the field guarentees a strong pace this year either :devilish: ... so that flat speed comes in handy again.
 
I’ve backed Black Op now he’s definitely been entered in the Cleeve on Saturday. Could well just be the Ballymore form isn’t upto much but he wasn’t so far off Santini either

I think he'll win the cleeve personally. But we'll see.

Of course there could be a trend developing, so few proper stayers seem to be kept hurdling at the moment.

Unexposed at 3 miles I guess was the angle, which is obvious as he's not run at that distance, but he doesn't look short for speed, I expdect he's more of a mid range trip horse.

No way I'd chance him each way at 16/1 - there are horses with more proven stamina that you know will be there at the finish.

They fleshed out their arguments for Midnight Shadow on the ante postcast today.

I'm a little surprised he's fav for the Cleeve in some places (quite a few tbf).

Nobody at all has made a case for him on here, does anybody like him??!

Tom Segal likes him? Do we need a bigger case to avoid? :devilish:

I’m listening to it now and apart from all the furious agreeing and slapping each other on the arse, they sprouted out that Penhills Albert Bartlett was strongly run. I believe this came up recently, does anyone remember if we found some sectionals?

The overall time was average at best. Certainly wasn't strongly run as they were all on the bridle jumping the second last

That podcast is just embarrassing. As for that PP guy - jeez! Not a clue. Is he the one who tipped up If The Cap Fits for the Champion Hurdle last week?

Penhill took 52 seconds from jumping second last to the line, in the albert bartlett and exactly the same time in the stayers last year.
in contrast in the triumph hurdle, DEfi De Seuill 54 sec;s and Farclas last year 56 seconds.
hand timed mind. but pretty clear.
Kilbricken storm did it in 59 seconds in the bartlett last year.
