Grand National Saturday is always a great event, the big race itself dominates the day but the supporting cast has always been competitive.
This year however we will have very short favs in at least three of the card:

Liverpool Hurdle - Thistlecrack around 1/3
Mersey Hurdle - Yorkhill around 1/2
Maghull Chase - Douvan around 1/5

Does this reduce the excitement or are you happy to see champions win uncompetitive heat ?
Or do you enjoy looking for the each ways in these events ?

It won't spoil it for me. There'll be betting wo markets so I'll find a bet somewhere!!

I'm going for racing on the Thursday - my favourite days racing of the year (outside of Cheltenham).

Yep cracking card Thur, not sure where else we get 4 consecutive G1s (NH).
Have a great day FM

When is Yanworth running ? Expect Yorkhill to confirm placings if they reoppose but will be more than 1/2 ?

He's priced to run in the Sefton on Friday, around 5/4

The Game Changer ?
Every chance only a handful turn up for this and it's a good job it's only one circuit or they could get lapped....

13.45 Long House Hall 10/1 - I am a big fan of this horse (not sure if this is a good thing)and he ran a cracker from a 5 month lay off behind Diamond King in the Coral, where the later got the run on him. The step up in trip should suit, just hope the ground doesn't get too soft.

I've had a few bets tomorrow:

Rock The Kasbah 20/1
Racing Pulse 20/1
Ivan Grozny 16/1
Dell Arca 22/1

I'll probably add a couple of others in the morning.

I'm struggling in the races with the hotpots, may play some place markets, but I have thrown a few darts and they landed on:

1.45 Kings Palace and Ashtiaal both e/w
4.20 Little Jon and Roc D'Apsis both e/w
6.10 Boite e/w

Good luck all

I fancied Nesterenko to win at Taunton yesterday but NH must have had his eyes on the last race at Aintree. I got no choice but to back him at 20/1 because I will feel sick if he did win.

Added Collogue 8/1 in the 4.20 to my selection.

Gutted the rain came and LHH went a nr. He should have had the winners number over 3m. Gotta watch out for him next time.
