Ryanair Chase 2018

That's even bolder. I think he's very tough and genuine personally

As I say, its a game of opinions. Time will tell. As for that race setting the standard, frankly thats irrelevant to me. Im not sure 16s we be much value if/when he nicks a place and you take into account the handful of horses that you've backed.

Iv backed 2.
Min 14s win only
Top notch 16s ew

Room for another nearer the time if required but I'd happily go there with that hand.

one of your bets look very good if he goes there. Bachasson may well end up here.

Bachasson wouldn't worry me what so ever, couldnt have seen him going close in last years jlt, also in the same ownership as UDS like you said game of opinions :)

there you go. As for last years Ryanair, what am I missing with Top Notch?? Ive seen the race and cheered home Yorkhill which ended up being part of a nice double with Tully East. Do you mean the scrappy jumps when it mattered, or the staying-on finish. I remember the Fighting Fifth, that says it all for me.

Watch ithe JLT on jockey club videos free to view. If you still have the same opinion fair enough.
Watch from about half way and keep an eye on too notch.

Would be interested in your opinion :)

I've seen the race several times. Are you talking about the faller he, AND Yorkhill dodged???

No. Travelling really well with disko politologue yorkhill around him comes to the second last travelling Jacob drops his hands before the fence to let him pop it and in two minds he slows makes a scruffy jump and loses momentum, where ruby is full of confidence making yorkhill mind up for him, yorkhill goes on and disko jumped in front of top notch, top notch digs deep past disko and stays on really well to the line. If he flew the second last like yesterday should have been a tight race.

The other 3 horse around him are all of quality imo
That's how I see it. Others may differ.

Thats fine Scooby. Don't think it would have made a scrap of difference. The jockey would be another reason why I can't have him.
Anyway, You like him and I don't. Come the day one of us is gonna be right.

Kevloaf should get the credit on long before I was. Id be confident at this stage. And happy to be on him at the price.

Good luck with who ever you back in the race :)

I can't believe he's still 16/1. He is the perfect horse for each way doubles imo.

I can't either! I just checked and I'm on at 29.0 on the exchanges but certainly think he's an each way play personally.

Very solid IMO!

16/1 is a very decent price but I think you could re-run the JLT a dozen times and Yorkhill would win every time.

I'd agree with that, but Yorkhill is one of the most talented horses in training.... and at the moment we don't know anything of Yorkhills quality will be in the race, we just expect it

Yorkhill a right conundrum , fabulous horse yet trip remains mystery. End of Cheltenham 2017 festival i thought i saw the performance of the 2018 Gold Cup winner. Not lost the faith but all this talk about champion hurdles , queen mother chases etc has me confused. If connections dont know , how the hell can we as punters second guess.
I hold on to Rubys comment after he won in march when asked about Gold Cup...In Ruby We Trust.

Iv followed him all the way through since his bumpers and I believe he will go down the gold cup route this year but one day and especially at cheltenham his idling in front is going to cost him it's a long way up that hill over 3m2.

You could imagine the scenes of him and Might Bite taking over each over about 5 times on the run in as each time they get to the front they idle, the exchanges would be in tatters! :devilish:

:highly_amused: I diddnt even think of that. Id assume they will take might bite to Cheltenham for betbright chase as his trial. Strange he's never done it before or after. 00seven did a simular thing last year in the race finians Oscar won at the last meeting.
