Ryanair 2020

i've been nibbling away at Cyrname for the QM on the exchanges, in the hope they fancy another crack at Altior. Politologue went from the ascot chase to the QM. Dont think the RH thing is an issue anymore as he's a different horse now

I backed both Defi and A Plus Tard for the Ryanair shortly after last years Festival, and CPS for the Champion Chase during Punchestown.

So since Defi started over 2M, this one had more potential to move between races, and put it up to one of my selections.

On regular reflection I ahave always been happier for A Plus Tard to lose Defi as an opponent and for CPS to take him, and Altior, on.

Not sure Triumph then JLT/Marsh is a proven platform for your average future Champion Chase winner and despite Defi's 'defection' taking out several multi's it's the race people want to see.
If he wins, he will be some horse...

Damn, I was still hoping Defi would come here. Have Paisley Park, Envoi trebles with each of Min and Defi for 5 figures!

I am sill a bit surprised that A Plus Tard is favourite. Have always thought, for whatever reason, that he’s just a tiny bit shy of the class to win this or the CC. Can’t decide whether I should get him on board at such a skinny price. Do feel he was flattered at Christmas and CPS has improved significantly since.

Min v APT be some battle.

Don't forget Riders Onthe Storm. It will be interesting to see how he gets on against Cyrname on Saturday. I just hope he doesn't have too hard a race with Cheltenham so close. I have all 3 in the book but am very much leaning towards APT. His price is shortening all the time and is now best priced at 3s.

Agree RE Rider Onthe Storm - if the battle against Cyrname is really tough I'd be doubtful about his Cheltenham chances.

Has he inproved though? He beat an ageing horse who needs a little further these days

Not for me, but I see the appeal.

Who? Chacun?

From Leop to Feb i'd say he's definitely improved.

Min is still a very good horse, and can do it over 2m. Cheltenham didn't prove anything last year, tactical f up.

Yeah, Personally didn't see anything at leapordstown to suggest he could reverse the form over A Plus Tard

Winners of the novice handicap chase have never won another festival race. Is A Plus Tard a stat buster?

RPRs (1st run this season/2nd run)
155/170 A Plus Tard
167/175 Chacun Pour Soi
164/171 Min

Whether he does it or not you would have to say he has a strong chance and is rightfully where he is at in the market, the manner of his close bros win was above average
