Mullins has said Douvan had a small op not regarding any past injuries. Hopes to make Chelt + Punchestown.

Least it’s an update I suppose, a positive one as well that they are aiming him at both festivals.

Surely given all his injuries etc do we see this season as the chance to sign off with a couple big wins. Surely the champion chase will be the target?

Have him for Ryanair only at the minute, tempted to cash and go cc but will wait for next entry. Was also tempted by hills boosted 15/1 for cc but as you say made of glass and would need to be nrnb.
 
His next entry will likely be Cheltenham. Think Willie will take a view of getting him ready at home and go straight there based on his comments

At least Douvan’s connections have put the information into the public domain before the bookmakers odds start spiralling around.

Unlike Altior’s, who seem to prefer to let the market smoke signals come out and people lose money backing the horse antepost, before announcing him a non runner.

Something badly wrong with how the latter is performing on early announcements, when earning money from bookmaker sponsorship. Needs to sharpen up quickly or the BHA could investigate.

How close Henderson is to the team at unibet, and how this keeps happening, is quite troubling imo

They are all in bed together. The trainers get paid to sprout bs to the media knowing full well thr sheep will lap up every word they say. Its a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Nicholls writes for betfair, Henderson for Unibet, Tizzards for Coral.

Do you honestly think a bookmaker is going to pay a trainer to lose them money. You may get thrown the odd scrap but ultimately these colums make both the writer and the platform owner lots of money.

I have seen both Nicholls and Henderson this season make out a horse is a good thing on their blogs yet in a seperate interview talk down the same horses chances.

You only have to look on this forum to see how much weight people hang on a trainers public quotes.

what goes on would be illegal and would face prison terms in any other environment .

These people have no problem putting there own owners away to line their own pockets yet bizzarely the public hang on everything they say and believe the trainer will try and help them out.

90% of the bets on this forum come off the back of a trainer interview and positive words.
The same people fall for the same traps year after year and never learn.

Its factual. Almost all bets follow a positive trainer interview. You only need to read the threads to see for yourself.

My kind words are helping the people who hang on a trainers every word. If just one person realises the circus that trainers and the media actually are then thats a good thing and the world is a better place.

What is also factual is the good members of the forum have also noted not to take a trainers/owners/jockeys word as gospel.

I don't believe 90% of bets are on because of a trainers word, I think you are wrong.

It isn’t factual. It’s something you’ve made up for effect and is an insult to many on here who put a lot of time and effort into finding us all winners.

Its impossible my comment could offend those who have put a lot of time and effort into finding us winners.

Only people who hang on every word a trainer says could possibly be offended but these are the ones ultimately who I am trying to help out.

The snowflake generation has gone mad they have created a world where everybody takes offence at everything.

You are all individuals not a collective. You can only speak for yourself.

Its perfectly clear that a high percentage take media quotes as gospel. We can choose to bury our heads in the sand if we like and pretend this isnt the case though.
