Ryanair 2019

Fingers crossed it scares Elliott off and he puts the Storyteller in the CC

It’s popular to gripe the Ryanair but I usually think it’s one of the races of the week[/QUOTE

I’m guilty HF
Griper usually
Don’t agree with you “ it’s one of the races of the week “ however it’s far deeper and intriguing than the norm

Min seems to of come back right in for Ryanair now.

Goody gum drops.

I'd love him to run here.

Footpad is harder to weigh up ... you know he had talent but hasn't shown it all season.

Min you just need to back him on whether you think he'll get the trip. That's an easier decision to make IMO

I've backed both at fancy prices on the exchange so obviously I'll of lost money regardless but fancy either of them to win anyway.

Paul Nicholls in a piece today, which he RT'd on Twitter: “We’ve still had good times but the Gold Cup is the pinnacle, so it’s great to be involved again. I like to think we will be for a few years to come.”

He concedes that Frodon is probably running for place money but fully warrants his chance. He will be a debut Gold Cup ride for Frost, who owes Nicholls plenty for her rise to prominence.

“Sam Twiston-Davies and Harry Cobden have both won on Frodon but Bryony is very well suited to him,” the trainer says.

Road to Respect's connections favouring this now rather then the Gold Cup. Probably right as he doesn't stay the trip.

Do you have a link? Head scratcher this. Multiple grade 1 winner over 3m and 4th in a gold cup by 12 lengths on deep ground he hated. Personally can't have he doesn't stay

Gamut's are good 3 milers but lack that little bit of stamina for beyond that trip.

Pleased to hear that, a danger that I'm not on! Totally see their points.

8/1 best NRNB price.

He'll go off shorter than that, but not by a lot?

Meade seems to have suggested he'll be going GC though in all the previews... where have you heard differently?

What price you think? if hes 8/1 NRNB i think there in theory should be juice in that.

Hard to compare form over different trips, but hes probably better formwise than everything in the race?

Errrrm, 5/1 would be my guess?

I don't know... he could really gain momentum I suppose...no shorter than 5/1 though if Min or Footpad and Monalee do run.

I do like the horse though, I'm just looking at the 8/1 though wondering how much worse value that is than the others I have haha

Thanks. I might back him

Road To Respect, owned like Samcro by Gigginstown House Stud, could be switched from the Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup to the Ryanair Chase the day before.

Fourth in the Gold Cup a year ago, the three-time Grade 1 winning chaser is a 20-1 shot for the Gold Cup on Friday week but his trainer Noel Meade said: "We're considering changing plans and running Road To Respect in the Ryanair instead of the Gold Cup. We haven't decided yet which race he'll run in, but we're thinking of going for the shorter race."

UDS being overlooked a bit? If it was good to soft or worse surely he would go close and an ew bet to nothing?

Yep Ive added RtR NRNB... no brainer as I know I will back him if he does go this route.

Guess it will all depend on the weather.
