He was good. Got hampered too and diddnt have his own way. Very pleased with that
 
DW looks a class above what he’s faced in Ireland so far but don’t think we’ve seen a race anywhere near as hot as the 3miler at Kempton.

Delta Work at 16s Any race is probably my best antepost bet i think. As in price and amount on.

But even at his current price I’d say that’s more than fair.

Cheltenham will be a tough tough rsa but I think he’s improving all the time and will stay all day. 6/1 current price is very very fair.
 
Warren Greatrex is eyeing a trip to Ireland for his brilliant mare La Bague Au Roi.

The seven-year-old recorded her 13th and most high-profile victory in 18 career starts when claiming Grade One glory in the Kauto Star Novices’ Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day – stretching her unbeaten record over fences to three.

Given she has failed to fire in two previous visits to the Cheltenham Festival, Greatrex is keen to consider alternative options and her next port of call could be the Flogas Novice Chase at the Dublin Racing Festival in early February.

“I’ve got to speak to the owners, but the plan, more than likely, is that she will go for the two-mile-five-furlong Grade One at Leopardstown,” said the Lambourn handler.

“I think the track will suit her well and the ground never gets that horrific there. I’m not bothered about the drop back in trip, as it means she can pound them even more.

“She took the race at Kempton brilliantly and is bouncing.

“She will probably have entries for Cheltenham, but she is more likely after Ireland to head to Aintree, as I think she is be

I think she'll win that and beat delta work imo. As much as I rate delta work.

This race is Santini all the way. It reminds me of Denman. Kempton was not his track or ground, impressed me the way it stayed in contention although flat to the boards and jumped well against 2 very good jumpers.

Cheltenham is the perfect course and it will fly up the hill.

I think you're probably right but Delta Work looks high class as well so it's no penalty kick.

Agree with both. Santini & Delta Work look the class acts so far, Topofthegame should also go well, and who knows what Next Destination will bring to the party, if he even turns up.

He finished ahead of Santini fair and square and is 4 times the price.
 
Have to admit I do like Delta Works and has the advantage of a top top jock.

Travelled all over him and got in a fight with la bague au roi which diddnt help either in terms of santini's finishing position. Take her out he'd have won very easily.
Take him out so would she.

How close will santini be at chelt going to the last?
He won't be upsides that's for sure

4 times the price? He is best price 9/1 for this.

Personally, I'd rather take the 4/1 Santini than 9/1 TOTG. I'm not convinced that 3 miles will suit TOTG*

* At Cheltenham.

On the face of it, Santini ran better at Aintree than at Cheltenham. It may just have been getting better with practice but I wouldn't be looking for that much improvement on the basis that Cheltenham is much more suited to him than Kempton. Right-handed might have been an issue but flat tracks certainly aren't.
 
Cheltenham is totally different track to Kempton. The fences are close together, tight turns and does not suit a real powerful galloper. Bit like Native River he was allways fighting in the KG and my view will finish ahead of the KG field in the GC.
Topofthegame is a lovely big horse, has never won over 3 miles and I believe that Nicholls said that he was still weak and will come into his own next year.
