Royal Ascot 2021

Anyone see on the premium racing post who roger varian is talking about when he says “she is on the upgrade and will run above herself next week?

I see castle star has been taken out as well, that's me back to the drawing board for the Coventry.

MC Muldoon and saldier interesting for the long distance races on Tuesday

Richard Fahey had this to say about his Coventry Stakes entry and 2 time winner Vintage Clarets.....

“He’s right up with the best two-year-olds I’ve trained. He’s a Royal Ascot colt, for sure.”

Appreciate it!

Added saldier at 10s for the copper horse handicap

Think the 1m6f will suit him better than the marathon ascot stakes

As many will know, Bless Him has been a cliff horse of mine since he won the Britannia in 2017.

He has a load to do at the ratings but the Ascot straight mile on decent ground with Jamie Spencer in the plate is exactly what he needs. I couldn't resist an each way bet at 50s. The favourite obviously needs to underperform but if he does I want Bless Him onside.

Sir Busker is another I like so I'll be going double handed and be looking for extra places on Tuesday.

I'm hoping for another Accidental Agent!

I'm looking at Prince Eiji e/w for the first race with the ground looking as if it'll be G-F.

Just a small stake mind at the moment but definitely the potential for something at bigger price to fill the places in that field

Suesa for the Commonwealth Cup is my only play so far. Really like her. She looks well above average in what might be a weak renewal.

As a side note, how time flies.. it’s been a YEAR since that great day with Art Power. Probably my favourite betting race of the year outside of that Wednesday or Cheltenham this year

The horse he comfortably beat last time giving away a double penalty won easily today at Nottingham, Love De Vega.

He's also declared for 5f Windsor castle stakes on the Wednesday, slightly shorter at 16/1 but that's his distance so far. I take it the trainer hasn't provided any clue as to what the preferred option is?

He sees him as a 6f horse and the way he hits the line you can see why. Hanagan is booked up for him for the Tuesday and has also said he'll have no trouble with 6. That said, he's done all his racing/winning over 5 so far so he may well take in Wednesdays race. Windsor Castle looks a weaker race which would reflect his price. Best to wait for final Decs if you are thinking of backing him and are worried about losing out.

I like him a lot. I shall back him wherever he rocks up. Hopefully with a few extra places.

Free ?2 bet from William Hill's scratch of the day, have trixie'd

Vintage Clarets 25/1 (Coventry stakes)
Chindit 8/1 (SJP)
Arcadian Sunrise 12/1 (Ascot stakes)

Richard slightly favouring Windsor Castle over Coventry for Vintage Clarets but will take a look at entries first before deciding. Perfect Power will run in Norfolk.

VC declared for Coventry.

Subjectivist fell over and slightly injured himself. Should be ok to run in Gold Cup though.

Ruthin, the long-time ante-post favourite for the Queen Mary, has been rerouted to the Windsor Castle and her claims are even more compelling. She is 5lb clear on the weight-adjusted figures after scoring by six lengths on debut at Keeneland in April.

Any one in love with Que Amora getting the allowances off a fragile Bataash in the King's Stand ??
