It's not directly related form, but we know Elliot targets that Down Royal meeting for his festival fancies, and listening to Weighed In last night I found it interesting hearing Blake talk about both how hungry Elliot is after his ban, but also apparently how much he has been dominating the P2P sales. So made me think a lil EW trixie of

American Mike (bumper)
Fil D'Or (Triumph)
Hollow Games (Albert Bartlett)

at best odds 1767/1 for the treble is worth a play?

Personally the Triumph is near impossible so far out but the other two are very solid plays....

hmmm I was avoiding him purely cos Elliot's not won the Supreme....forgetting he hasn't won the Potato race either!

How can you forget Labaik?

FWIW I got carried away on the Friday at Down Royal and trixie'd Impervious, Hollow Games and Lifetime Ambition

ordinarily agree but per Saxon's Elliot diary work, I'm prepared to take a risk if I believe Elliot is targeting one there

Ignoring Labaik.... I don't think I could avoid a horse because it was trained by Elliott for a Cheltenham race. It's like avoiding Mullins horses for Gold Cups and QMCC's.

Yankee with Mighty Potter is 45967/1

I guess if they close my account if it comes in I won't need it any more anyway

I got a little carried away with SW's incredible work before the weekends racing and put the 4 in a festival super yankee with Grand Paradis (Marsh) for tiny stakes.

I have enough bets with Hollow Games so pre-Down Royal I placed a treble of Mighty Potter 40/1, American Mike 16/1 and Fil Dor 33/1.

I'm another and I made a book.

I was amazed at the time how many people seem to have backed him when he went off at 25/1.

As discussed in my diaries over the years that Cheltenham was the only one I've made a loss on, and is my motivation to focus on singles and get good returns, cos I'll always remember having it on in the office, having got every on Melon at big prices, thinking got the Mullins Supreme horse, job done, and us all sitting in silence as this yoke I'd never even heard of came cantering through. That was the race that made me think "If I'm going to be involved in this sport, I should probably take it a tad more seriously"

That Supreme was carnage for me. I made a complete dogs dinner of it, and when horses were out and switched targets I just couldn't recover. It became a pure damage limitation race. I got myself into what I thought was the best possible position I could to limit losses, and then Labaik that I couldn't have backed with stolen money, went and hosed up.

The sinking feeling started before the last, and when he crossed the line I'd never felt so flat after a Supreme, and haven't since since.
