Queen Mother Champion Chase 2020

Absolutely devastated. Sitting on 50/1 and 33/1 slips about him and I’ve also layed Defi so a double blow.

What a bitter pill mate, player and layer braver than me.

I lost 2/3rds of my stake and its all part and parcel in the run-up but on the day of the race is painful.

Chacun would have pissed it. Defi absolutely battered

I have write more than 10 characters which is a shame as all I had to say was LOL

A bookies benefit, a three horse race, 2 in their boxes and one up the pictures.

You are having a laugh. One thing to take from that race is Altior wins it easily. The only one with undeniably robust form to Politologue. He’d won it so easily. He’s smashed Politologue up every which way every time they have run.

Only having a laugh at Defi. Been against him the whole time and was the wrong race, though he'd also get beat in the Ryanair.

Politologue's robust form - walloped by Min last year at Aintree and Chacun beat Min at Leopardstown, which no other horse has done.

Hopefully Altior goes to Punchestown or Chacun goes to Sandown and we have a race.

Fortunate with Defi underperforming for the lay but devastated as can’t help but feel Chacun would have won on the bridle

Luke Mcmahon may be slightly regretting his decision to put Cilaos in the Champion in hindsight

I mean, I had multiple debates about Defi not being a 2miler.

Although, could never have foreseen him not being good to beat Politologue though

Gutted, I thought was a banker when the other 2 pulled out. Not a great day. Any noise of anything wrong with DDS?

I was on the rail and there was definitely something wrong with his back right leg. He wasn't moving well at all and it was fairly clear from early on he just wasn't travelling

Fair play Politilogue but worst CC I can remember.

I know you could say this about Chacun, Altior and a fit Defi, but would have been great if Un De Sceaux has made the race and finally got the Champion Chase he deserved.

Just read the Stewards Report on the BHA website. No problems were identified after the race and Hobbs could provide no explanation. Geraghty did state that Defi was never travelling.

Yard a bit below par ? Sporting John was surely better than his running too.

Funny old Festival day yesterday - we went from having the race of the meeting to Paul Nicholls trotting up & having the 1,2 after not even being at the festival day 1! Thankfully some firms refunded CPS (good gesture I thought), however most on here burnt I assume... me included.

The main positive I took away from it was happy for John Hales to have the winner, esp. after Maire Banrigh looked the winner in the Arkle in my eyes before coming crashing down.

Its mad that: Min, A Plus Tard, Altior, CPS, UDS and potentially Cilaos Emery and Le Richebourg would all have won that yesterday.

Absolutely gutted Un De Sceaux didn't make it either.

Also a little frustrated Chacun's injury was so late, I had a fair old whack on Min NRNB at 20/1 and even his worst days put him bang there with Politilogue.

With the way the field ended up, there are plenty of horses people can argue would have won, A Plus Tard another...
