Pertemps Network Final 2019

Could only see a result of the top 3 so took a chance and didn’t cash out Tin Soldier

So that’s another bet down the pan today

Don't worry, Gordon will have half the field entered up anyway, so will take out as many as he needs to, to ensure that "It's All Guesswork" gets in :triumphant:

ended up ignoring all the horses in todays qualifier, apart from a bet on soldier in todays race, and might have got lucky as they all look doubtful in one way or another.

Cap York will get in with weight rise and should go if fit surely?

wasn't suitably impressed with anything from todays race. Onwards to chepstow.

Yep, just don't fancy it, but will look at it again on the day and couldn't dismiss it.

Like you, I like Kapcorse of the entries and looks a real player if he qualifies.

Winners of qualifiers don't tend to have a great record in the actual race itself, do they? Think someone has some stats to support this, or maybe I was dreaming it....

A Toi Phils run had a touch of Delta Works at same stage last year about it - has slack vs his chase mark but probably is a better chaser

Held up towards rear, pushed along after 4 out, no impression in 10th between last 2, ran on well from before last into never threatening 4th final strides, nearest finish (op 20/1)

Nice run OV. He's gonna be high 140s though.

You're not dreaming it.

All in the opening post COD. Last winner of this to have also won a qualifier was Fingal Bay in 2014.

A super post that VK - is it possible that cut off will be lower this year ? We both seem to be ruling a lot of horses out as too lowly rated.

Cheers OV. I've no reason to think it'll be massively different but very hard to tell until next week. When I first analysed the race we were still yet to reach NRNB and you can't take any chances on those things at that stage.

Does anyone know if Wait For Me will qualify off a mark of 137

....he’s one I like and Hobbs has won it before with one that only only had one race beforehand, but 19 of 26 winners had won over 3 miles and I don’t think this has achieved that. There must be stamina doubts for this 9yo.

2 of last 22 had won a Qualifier. One was Fingal Bay, can't recall the other. Plenty of qualifying winners can't run in the Final as they are too low in the handicap. In Ireland today 13 ran but only 4 were high enough rated to run at Cheltenham.
