National Hunt Challenge Cup Amateur Riders' Novices' Chase

Yep.
Missunited.
I like the look of him for this race too, and I have a good position in it without him running, so would prefer he didn't.
I will be watching for any entry that would qualify him and will cover then I reckon.
I still hold onto his 50-1 in the RSA, although his handicap mark for the pertemps is enough to put me off him in that.

Welcome Miss United, not many first posts will be better or more thought out than that!

Agree. Far too good for this forum, lol !!

I think Ronald Pump is small little thing who is likely to find his jumping exposed in a race like this. My guess would be that he will continue over hurdles. If they were completely happy that he was a chaser he wouldn't have reverted to hurdles.

A point about smaller stables and this race is you have to question what jockey they are going to be able to attract.

Patrick Mullins, Derek O’Conner and Jamie Codd have won 6 of the last 9

I think they've said he's going chasing again for his next run. The last day was just to qualify for the pertemps as a back up IMO. But it does suggest they're not all that confident over fences I suppose.

End of. Nail on head.

Codd rode for Pauling last year. Which was unusual.

He was jocked up on Champagne Classic before his setback! I guess Gordon didn't want to stand the O'Neill's down after giving them a ride initially.

How he ever went off at 14/1 I shall never know. Bet of the meeting.

I was so caught up in a Discorama I never even had a saver!

Is Barry related to Lisa ?

Is that a serious question Q ?
Or have I missed something

Think sean was referring to Lisa O'Neill riding for Gordon in last years race on gun digger.
And Barry O'Neill is a good amateur who rode discorama.

I think that jockey stat is outrageous...so what are the 2 likely horses each jockey might get offered?

Money for Early Doors today, cut with PP & Betfair

Got excited reading that, only to see it's 25/1 from 33/1 and 33/1 is still widely available :p

Boo you. :highly_amused:

We're no closer to 'the' JP runner yet are we, unless I've missed something?

Would be my first guesses
