Morning all,

I know it's a few days away but I thought I'd get this post up early.

After what has been a pretty dreadful year for most people, if not everybody, I'd like to thank not just the moderator team but every single poster on here for their contributions throughout the year. The year started with me having my most successful festival ever by quite a long way, mostly due to the fantastic contributers here. Since then, being able to come on here and see everyone putting up their opinions on our fantastic sport has provided pretty much the only normality for the last 8 months. This forum has been a sole source of respite for many many people on here so thank you to everybody.

I know for a large portion of members, Christmas will not be the same this year, but I hope you manage to get some festive cheer, even if it's only in the top quality racing we have to look forward to over the coming days. I'd also like to reiterate that if any of you are struggling and need someone to listen, please don't hesitate to inbox me, day or night.

I'd like to thank everyone here again, and wish every one of you a merry, but more importantly, a safe Christmas. Let's hope 2021 brings more joy than the last 12 months

Merry Christmas :unconscious:

Merry Christmas to you Ryan and all fellow members. Its such an interesting forum with a few chuckles along the way.

Roll on 2021, and I'm sure we will be in a much better place in the summer.

Nice one Ryan, was thinking about this sort of post on the way to work this morning.

Merry Christmas to every member of the forum, hope you all can enjoy it the best we can in the current climate :very_drunk:

Merry Christmas everyone, lets make the most of this next week or so before the tipping competition starts and we go for each others throats :excitement:

Genuinely been a bit of a haven has this forum, helped me dig deeper into something I already loved, much needed escapism. Here's to a better 2021 and a profitable festival for all!

Merry Christmas to you all and happy new year. Hope fellow members stay well over xmas. We can all enjoy big meetings over next week or so and new year wish lets hope we can be back at Racecourses in next few months.

Merry Christmas to all! I hope you all stay safe, well and have as good a time as possible in the current situation. :encouragement:

Roll on a hopefully much better 2021! Only 84 days until Cheltenham... :very_drunk:

Merry Christmas everyone. Ryan has said it all really. I'm sure this place is what's kept most of us sane this year. Thanks everyone for all the knowledgeable posts and for the great entertainment. It's very much appreciated.

And for 'Big Fish'. I hope Santa brings you a better rod this year, as the current one isn't getting as many bites as you'd expected! :cat::dog::biggrin-new:

ryanh97 Fantastic post.
I doubt anyone believed this forum could have had such a crucial role to play when it was created but, as we keep saying, it is only as good as the contributions people make and I think the level has been raised immeasurably in the last year or two.

Best wishes to everyone for a safe and happy Christmas and we can all look forward to a better 2021, hopefully when a yankee lands...

I'm just hoping Santa and the reindeers are allowed to travel into Tier 4 from Lapland (strangely enough its not one of the countries listed for a no fly ban, so maybe we shall all be OK for some Christmas cheer).

On that note, wishing everyone on here a Merry Christmas including our very own Fat Santa Kev and his FJ elves. May all your Christmas wishes come true (apart from PP winning the Savills Chase) and let's all hope that 2021 turns out to be a much better year for eveyone. Although in these strange times, horse racing is hardly a priority, as others have said already the forum has provided a safe and friendly place to visit (some much more than others) and long may this continue.

All the very best to one and all.

I don't know about you guys but Christmas is going to be very different this year, so I'll probably be on here on the day to say it due to lack of other options :highly_amused:

:snowman:

I'm quite gutted about it all as my dad is very sick and it's likely to be his last one - but I'd have dealt with it better if the govt had had the courage to say that from the start (a la Merkel) rather than have it taken away from me.

Thankfully my wife had done a back up shop in case we got stuck (worst case to have it on boxing day). So currently having to learn quite quickly how in the hell you cook partridge! But I've spent a fairt whack on the pinot and the gamay so that will surely mask me overcooking it to high hell!

Try to have a good one Fat Jockeys. Mine's an Old Fashioned

Happy Christmas to everyone on here, this forum has really been a breath of fresh air to me since I joined a couple of weeks ago. And hopefully a few quid won by all

Merry Christmas all. This has undoubtedly been my favourite year on the forum - as well as the worst away from the forum.

FJ plays a bigger role in our lives than we probably realise and for that I’m grateful.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all.

Merry Christmas Everybody!

It's clear that FJ has been a beacon of light shining through covid lockdowns so thanks to everyone for that.

Hope there are plenty of festive winners - and perhaps a few roll-ups onto the Festival! :eagerness:
