May Festival Yankee

Kevloaf, it’s 5/1 with William Hill and 4/1 with Sky and Bet365

He gets my vote too. Hadn’t seen he’d been priced up tbh hence not mentioning him.

Like Kev, I assumed he was request a bet onky.

....

might bite
Willoughby Court
tiger roll

only Tuesday left ... Laurina does win Mares :devilish:

Laurina looks like a good shout to me, AJ looks to be jumping right more markedly at some hurdles and I can see her being steered away from Cheltenham, plus DDB has her beating now, left and right, I would say Laurina and DDB are the 2 to cover in the mares over various yankees

Happy to have Laurina in one of these, but I’m really not sure that Sullivan sees her as a ‘Mares’ type horse, I believe they have very high hopes for her.

Personally id leave the x country well alone. I think Topofthegame for the RSA at 25/1 with Laddies warrants consideration for one of the Yankees. Im on in single and have him in a treble and Yankee with Carefully Selected and Daphne Du Clos (Penhill yankee).

Sean - the XC is one of the few races where a horses target is known this far out.
I appreciate it's not a race for everyone but at this stage the biggest battle is identifying the target, only then can you consider whether a horse is good enough to win it....

Faugheen for the Gold Cup 33s with Coral

Does anyone think Djakadam could be a possible for this next year? See he's going for the grand steeplechase in France next week which is a bit of a departure....

I wouldn't be against that.

I know a few of us had Might Bite in the KG last year as the start of a few trixie's or yankee's.

I had a big double with Apple's Jade which is hindsight probably saved me having a very large bet on AJ that wouldn't have won as a single.

I think MoM's concern that it'd be disappointing if one lost mand the other three made it, but if that had happened, you could just try again... .and if it has come off, then the position becomes very attractive?
Spetember for the Oaks perhaps :p

Gutted that September is out of the Oaks - confirmed today. Had 25s and 33s from June 2017. Bet365 let me cash some out this afternoon for double my money with them on the 25/1 bets if that’s any consolation.

But it does prove my point for these Yankees to avoid horses running before Cheltenham. Imagine the other three all shorten before their races and went off favourite. We’d have three cracking bets and then a random non runner from 9 months beforehand. Would ruin the fun a little bit I think.

I’m sure it has already been mentioned but Commander of Fleet looks like he has Ballymore written all over him. 16s available but will request a price from B365.

I’d like to get Blow By Blow (4 miler) into one of the more risky bets as well

As we stand, am I right in thinking it’s looking like:
Might Bite @ 13/2 - GC
Tiger Roll @ 4/1 - XC
Willoughby Court @ 25/1 - Ryanair
Laurina @ 3/1 - Mares

Or Laurina :p

I've got no burning desire with anything else particularly at this stage.

Still have a week or so, maybe something will jump out of the Warwick bumper tomorrow to change our minds...
