Mares Novice Hurdle 2020

Theres still hope for princess zoe turning up here if your on the WH special like me. According to tony mullins interview with the irish field a lot depends on whether she wins this weekend, if she doesnt it sounds like theres a decent chance she'll go hurdling, as its the owners "life ambition" to have a horse good enough for cheltenham.

Didn't bother reading that interview, but surprised by that, whether she's won 1 G1 or 2 shouldn't really change things.

My thoughts exactly. Yes the owners may have always wanted a horse for Cheltenham. But this is the mares novices. A race that doesn’t even get terrestrial airtime. I’m sure they would rather have an Arc horse for next year if she is that good

How good is she?

Is she actually going to be less than 20/1 for the Arc?

Yeah if she starts winning proper races then yeh.

Whilst I'm definitely in the camp that things she shouldn't run here, there is a big gap between being good enough to run in an Arc (and such races) and actually having a lively chance in those races.

I hope she does run in the Mares Novice Hurdle for those that got on, but I think they'd be bananas and I won't back her now regardless. I'd rather not have a bet in the race. Shite race anyway. I don't care who the best novice mare is....they should be in the Supreme/Ballymore/Bartlett!

I agree connections would be crazy to run here, obviously I hope she runs for people with slips on her. For me though, just don’t make any sense.

When he mentioned the arc I laughed out loud.
I'd call it post race (having just won a group one) excitement.

Princess Zoe looked cooked a long way out today, but stayed on well for 4th.

Poor ground.

Worse ground the last time she run.
Her form is not that good really is it ?
Lovely horse though.

Wouldn't want to have cashed her out though, and if mullins and the owners do change their minds after this reality check then we'll have some unhappy campers.

They'll blame the fact she has ran again so soon. I'm sure.
Which may be fair comment.

T Mullins was just asked on twitter if she will go hurdling and he said you can now rule that out.

Tony Mullins all but ruling out hurdling just now ‘I think you can rule that out’ in reply to a question if she would go hurdling

She has been on the go on the flat for months, to the cusp of November.

I don’t think any horse would start jumping this season after that build up.

Was never going to change their minds.

Was never going to change their minds.

I agree also.

I never got involved in her as was a bit too early for my liking. For all that she has been a great mare for connections on the flat this season.

Couldn't knock those that took the ridiculously big prices though.
