Mares Novice Hurdle 2020

Finally pulled the trigger on Gypsy Island @ 8/1. Will hopefully justify the shortest AP price I’ve taken so far

Lamarckise - fair bullish update from Willie

<section class="panel collapse" style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; color: rgb(67, 80, 96); font-family: "Source Sans Pro", sans-serif; font-size: 16px;">She is owned by the same people that have Klassical Dream and I think they might have another nice one in her. I don’t want to put the mockers on her, but she’s a really lovely mare. She has done some very, very good work here. We decided not to run her last season as the ground was too quick for her and we wanted to mind her. We are really looking forward to running her this season.

Had to add Lamarckise after that stable tour update. Missed the big prices first mentioned on here but very strong words from Mullins there. 16/1 just big enough for me to get onside.

Has anyone seen any mention of Princess Vega? Mullins said "We will continue during the summer with her" but no sign since that Tramore win in May

** update
Kevin Blake on Princess Vega :
No decision yet, but they are considering retiring her

Have cashed out.

Didn’t go into specifics around it

Would the breeding angle be in play?

Another form boost for GI after minella melody winning today. Wonder when we will get to see this “good” thing

Another consideration for Gypsy Island is that she was foaled on 1st Jan 2014, most NH horses are foaled much later in the year so she will have a physical advantage over her novice opponents.
Of course had she been foaled 24 hours earlier it would have been a serious breeding cock up....

They're no age limit though is there? They're should be a few older, more experienced

Not for this race but at the early stages of career bumpers and some nov hurdles are restricted by age.
It's obviously more crucial in the flat world...

Very nice mares race fairyhouse Monday, not going to list the entries but the names we want to see are in there.

Including one i don't thinks been mentioned much- Telmesomethinggirl. Honeysuckle colours and meant to be smart

Very good to see.

Interesting, may be a good yard stick to beat then.

Heaven Help us.
2-35 newbury tomorrow.
When you consider the maiden this mare won against the boys the other day. (same race some good novices have won in the past)
20-1 each way in an 8 runner mares novice race seems big to me ?

However, there's every chance that PP and some of the others going big prices are aware of a likely non runner also

Not quite up there with some of the entries and potential runners over the weekend but, and I never thought i'd be saying this...
the entries to a Mares Maiden Hurdle aren't too far behind and made me very happy seeing. Of course in the end Mullins ended up having the 1-2 in the race anyway but it felt like we were waiting all through the season to see THE and in the end any Mullins horse for this.

Won’t be looking past GI. Imagine the price GI would be if trained by Mullins 😂

Floressa looks a smart mare. Runs in race after champ. Smashing that double
