4Oct19 Gowran Park (16Gd/Y, RPR 117)
I was a bit nervous that she mightn't be fit enough but she's a good mare. In fairness to Jamie [Codd], he told me after Clonmel that she was very good. He said I wouldn't have a better one than her in the yard. I wouldn't want to question him but she doesn't show a lot at home. I'd say we might keep her to bumpers and she could go back to run on the Flat. The mare Lisa [O'Neill] rode ran very well to finish fourth and came home strongly - Gordon Elliott, trainer of Bigbadandbeautiful and Ard Abhainn

It was the bumper they meant for sure.
Although Elliott had said prior to her last run on his stable tour for ATR, that they would go novice hurdling after the Navan race.

I wouldn't say she's a definite non runner in this race, although at this stage (based on his last post race comments) it looks like Dublin then Punchestown in bumpers I reckon.

He might give her a spin over hurdles if her form continues to stack up.
WE'll see.
I've backed her but will wait till Dublin and see what happens there.

Maybe she's that lazy at home, they've tried schooling her and she's walked up to the hurdles and tried licking them instead of jumping over.
That's what lazy types do.

Dolcita will be odds on 4/6 and Henry's maybe 7/2< when powers open up.

Equilibrium at 5s as well. Mental.

Even Henry's 2nd string has promising point form, and is well related.
 
Dolcita backed across the board now. This does feel like more than a few quid has gone on. Christ knows what price she'll be if she wins on the snaff tomorrow. Then the same will happen with Lamarckise when she appears.
 
Henry's got into a good rhythm last time, if it was 2m she'd likely have only been beaten by concertista and not far at that.

As you know, was a real bog. They Had it between them And they both fell in a hole.

The issue with that, is although she should be a good horse. its clearly not yard money. Everyone's seen shes running tomorrow. With them connections and backed her. Same as with ferny hollow for the bumper.

Lamarckise has been away schooling, she was getting hammered without an entry or even the slightest mention. She was already 12/1 by the time the ATR stable tour came out. Thats when you know theres substance.

It does feel like yard money to me. Every bookmaker has cut her substantially and fairly quickly. Can't imagine just a few punters money would do that across the board . We'll find out tomorrow. Pretty excited to watch her now and interested what price she opens up.
 
Dolcita opened 5/4 365 and went 8/11 almost straight away
 
This is spot on. Lot of people talking about it on twitter today and it being the same race as Laurina started off in has a lot of people backing her.

Lamarckise shortening up when most people have never heard of her and no mention of her anywhere would look a lot more like yard money. Great early shout on both Scooby. Hopefully they can come out now and do the business

Ah come on these are antepost markets. Probably given the injury to GI the most light market out there too.

FWIW, Jodie Standing’s very good ptp book includes Henry’s second string the robcour colours.

Her books been great this year.

I have preference for lamarckise. And before anyone asks. And iv heard a few rumours. I asked the owner breeders last week (who are still in very close contact) and they told me she was completely fine and in work. They also sent me some pictures etc..
But they all still have to make it there.

Yeah great shouts on both - as I mentioned a small while back from what I heard the preference within the yard is definitely for Lamarckise. One of the lads I know sees a lot of the schooling and was there to see Lamarckise school with a few and it’s very rare he talks one up like he did after seeing Lamarckise.
Was one of only 2 he has mentioned all year from within the yard.
