Mares Novice Hurdle 2019

I see Epatante entered this week, I read Nicky say that she works with Verdana blue, hard to take that as a negative towards her potential ability, coupled with her debut run, she looks pretty good for this, will find out more this week.

It's a shame nothing else is entered up for the same race. Other than As hendo has said himself, "tin cans". so we wont learn much there either. One positive she has is pace,
There's alot of strong stayers in this race. That might get tapped for toe, if there's a good out and out 2miler.

Whether she's that one. We won't fund out until the day.

Take this what it's worth: I was with Peter Fahey at the weekend and his Cheltenham banker would be Elusive Belle. He trained her in her three Bumpers and couldn't believe how well she won first time out over hurdles on pretty quick ground. He is convinced that on softer ground (which she has never had) and a proper 2 mile test (which she will get on the New Course) she will take some stopping. Friday will tell us a lot more; on what will be pretty heavy ground.

Be interesting to see what NH runs at Sandown

Gone in again on Sinoria with Skybet NRNB couldn’t resist and hopefully they throw the 2 at this a la kitchen sink

I got all excited then until I saw the price :(

Bet he was gutted to lose her... was the switch because Waley-Cohen bought her?

Would you know by any chance if theres Any plan for the big dog?
Martin pipe? Coral cup off a light weight?

Appricate the info...

Not one for me at single figures this far out... may change if there is strong support pre Sandown run though!

The owners are keen to go (have booked their flights and accommodation after Gowran) and the ground was far too quick at Leopardstown. He is 'only' rated 132 so would struggle to get into the handicaps. Actually, he wouldn't have got in to the Albert Bartlett last year off that mark - but everyone was running scared of Samcro so it had a maximum field. That may not be the case this year and the AB, right now, appears most likely if he goes at all. I think Peter has him down as an out and out three miler.

Thankyou very much. I like him. There's deffinately a big handicap in him somewhere down the line.

Please forgive my lack of knowledge & experience but Elusive Belle is entered for the Mares Hurdle & Mates Novice Hurdle and not a massive difference in odds considering depth of races or are the races handicaps (I didn’t think they were?) Is there not a massive difference in quality of race or is Elkusive Belle that good that she could compete in both? If so, should be a shoe in for the MNH if she enters this??

Elusive Belle isn't entered in the Mares Hurdle; she is a likely entry in the Mares Novices but entries will not be made until later in February.

She was yesterday but no longer on the B365 market for MH so must have been an admin cock up as she was 8’s for MH and 6’s for MNH. I just checked and she’s no longer in MH betting.

Quite liked that performance from queennohearts beating danse idol carrying a penalty. I’m sure it’s not the best form on offer & she won’t be the best horse in the field but love her attitude & she obviously has ability. Can see her battling on & getting me some place money hopefully!

Elusive bell didnt settle and jumped poorly.

Right Willie, lets stop messing around. Which one wins this
