Mares Hurdle 2019

I’m surprised Bennie is still so big. I must admit when i backed her last week it was purely because I envisioned her being 4/7 today and at the worst having a value loser

I’ve said all along she opens up at 4/5 and wins at 4/7 when the Irish start lumping.

She has NOTHING in hand on ratings.

Lady Buttons has posted a higher RPR this season over 2m4f that BDD did in winning this last year!

Can't calm your nerves. Iv said all along, she's nothing special. And deffinately not miles clear like some are making out.
The rain is a big, big help however.

I wouldn't worry about lady buttons. She finds absolutely nothing off the bridle. Plenty of dangers in there though for backers of Bennie at evens.

Surprised by that RPR stat. Would have thought her Punchestown run would have been higher. Even so, yeah for me just keep it simple - she wins. Worth remembering last year she actually didn't have the best preparation for this race. Came out of both of her races sore last season and was partly the reason why she reverted to hurdles (though she was always going to wasn't she). Despite not running in public seems to have had a smoother and more straight forward build up this year.

Still far more worried about the likes of Limini and co but the yard seem pretty unequivocal that she is a fair level ahead. Doesn't always translate on the day but that's enough for me

Limini 5/1 w/o for me is a very nice price. That last run leaves her right in the mix and even if she finishes 3rd or 4th, money back!
Lady Button's highest RPR over hurdles is 142 that is what counts to me. How many horses do you see running off say 140 over fences and rock up over hurdles off a "lenient" mark and not replicate it?

Benie hadn't run over hurdles for the guts of 2.5 years and still was able to produce that rating, which for me is very impressive, even if the form is half questionable. Wouldn't be backing her at her current price though.

Think a lot of us had a quick flashback of Annie Power there...never did I think the same fate would arise. I'm actually gone hoarse from it!
