Mares Hurdle 2018

I don't believe benie des dieux goes here I think your taking the comments far too literal. The French fixed brush hurdles are like fences. My interpretation is that she wastes no time in the air over her fences which is to her advantage. And thats also what they meant by the comments.

Her price for this race is completely ridiculous imo. Her advantage is over fences. And her engine is over rated.

Same for VVM funnily enough. :highly_amused: - Anyway, the news below might make her a less liekly runner and hopefully she goes for a chase!

Vroum Vroum Mag has an entry at Navan on Sunday. 2m5f.
(Mullins also has Let's Dance, Augusta Kate, Bapuame and Bacardys entered in the same race)

With that news, 11/4 for VVM in the Without market seems fair enough (especially compared to Let's Dance)
You would need to have a little faith in the proviso that VVM will only run if she is sparking - and you have no track evidance yet that she retains her ability.... but if she does take up that entry, and does retain the ability, it would be insane to have her a bigger price than Let's Dance... or Benie Des Dieux... I wouldn't consider VVM in the normal market as the prep would be awful compared to Apple's Jade who has her held on last years festival anyway before yuou even consider the improvement from AJ but ...

I can see 11/4 being shorter in the without market. Not going to back it tonight but I'll re-visit it on Saturday.

Jer's Girl
©Healy Racing PhotosJer's Girl is reported to be on course for the Cheltenham Festival following a mid-season break.

The six-year-old could have three entries including the OLBG Mares' Hurdle, in which she fell three flights from home last season when still travelling well.

"She's in the Mares', she's in the Stayers' Hurdle and she'll probably have an entry in the Coral Cup," said trainer Gavin Cromwell.

"I don't know at this stage which race we'll go for. I'll have a chat with Frank (Berry, owner JP McManus' racing manager).

"She's in great order. I'm happy with her."

10/1 ew nrnb bog without Apple's jade now one of my biggest bets of the week.

Asthuria 20/1 nrnb bog without Apple's jade likewise. Poss unlikely runner but massively over priced.

Glad to hear this Scooby, after you put her up in the W/O market, I had a couple of points on e/way :)

Iv gone back in on her. That 10/1 without Apple's jade with effectively 4 places is just far too big to me.

I fully expect her to turn up.
And would be delighted if asthuria joins her.

100% agree with this. Already on from earlier but been waiting for confirmation that she's back on track.

10/1 wouldn't be a bad price in the normal market really with Ricci mares taking out a silly chunk, so this is a no brainer

Similar to the CH market, there is a "without" AJ market with 365 NRNB

LEt's Dance 5/2
VVM 5/2
BEnie Des Dieux 3/1
Colin's Sister 9/2
Kayf Grace 6/1
Augusta KAte 8/1
LA Bague Au Roi 10/1
Jer's Girl 10/1

ANyone fancy any of those?

I quite like the look of Jer's Girl at 10/1. Was only 2L behind Apple's Jade earlier this season on 12/11/17 at Navan over 2m4f and Apple's JAde was ridden out to win.

JG got beaten over 3m by the likeable La Basgue Au Roi, but I can see some juice in Jer's Girl at 10/1 w/o the fav....

Couldn't find my bet but knew I'd mentioned her back in Jan!:highly_amused:

Still 10/1 now is a really good bet

Kev,
Jers Girl is of interest for me in this market.

I don't fancy her myself but benie des dieux 7/4 From 7/2 without AJ with pp. And let's dance doubled in price antepost with bf.

David Mullins who just won on Benie Des Dieux has just sadi without prompting that "you can do anything with her" "she jumpos her fences like hurdles" and "you could easily go back over hurdles with her"....
I'd say this is the target 100%.....

I'd definitely fancy her over Let's Dance.... the 9/2 NRNB without AJ looking more appealing than it was (and I'd already backed it)

**its now 4/1 NRNB BOG w/o Apple's Jade

Very pleased to read that then....

Strictly between Let's Dance and Benie Des Dieux I think they were the wrong price.

I'd still have Jers Girl a better bet than either though in the without...

I don't be touching it but BDD is 7/2 with 355 in the without for anyone that way inclined.

Does let's dance run at all?? Even thoigh its the price she should be, it's a bold call doubling the price

It is likely to be one people could cash out if PP are right, and that is the target.... as 365 will have to flip-flop

Meri Devie goes here apparently so if anyone (like me) had an eye on her for one of the handicaps then you can cross her off your lists.

I was keen on her for the handicap route, all NRNB mind, so no drama there. Strange decision for me though, she's not got much chance against Apple's Jade, and if they think she has then Laurina has her well and truly covered already, on a line through Alletrix.

Yes I thought it was an odd one too as I feel there's some decent mileage in her mark.

Ruby was On Racing UK Facebook Live today. VVM came up a couple of times and it appeared no doubt she runs here. Ruby admitted that Apple's Jade looks incredibly hard to beat though
